He seems to be a good lad, he wasn't exactly welcomed by Fat Sam. The stuff that was released to the papers about him not settling and not being up to the pace of the Premier League didn't seem to bother him. Hopefully he can keep this going and establish himself as an iconic Everton No. 9.

He is not easily bothered to be honest. If I were in his shoes, when Mario Gomez took his place after Cenk scored a hat-trick in the very opening match of the season, I would have just started to look for another club. Gomez scored around 25 goals that season and in the end of the season the coach said "I am very sorry for not playing Cenk more, he totally deserved it by working so hard". He never gives up and believes in working hard whoever he is competing with, also by learning from his contenders. Gomez contributed a lot on Cenk's positioning inside the box, you can see it from the first header he scored and the one he scored in Brighton game. Classic Gomez stuff.

Should we now go and signup Gomez??? to play with Tosun?

Lovely peice by cenk online today, being so respectful to his team mates and the club. He is playing in the league he thinks can push him, although he loved playing in the super liga. The effect Rooney is having on the lad is fantastic and if we continue to improve as a club this lad will become a boss striker.

Theres something "off" about him I can't put my finger on. It's not that he's crap or anything but there is something there that just stands out as being odd about the way he plays. Berbatov-esque?
