Great place, or have a beer in the Lisbon.919 Soccerbus leaves opposite Dr Duncan's pub by St John's Gardens until 30 minutes before the kick off. Direct to GP with no stopping. £2, I believe.

Hi,
I'm coming up for my first Home game for a while from London and wondering if anyone can help me on the best way to get to and from Goodison on Saturday from Lime Street.
I'd rather not have to pay Taxi rates but I think Uber is available in Liverpool now, albeit limited?
Is there any buses that go direct from Lime Street or Town to Goodison?
Cheers!

In fact, stay in the City centre, get lashed and save yourself the misery.Hackney cab should only cost you between £6-8, relax in the city centre for a bit and get yourself to the Lobster Pot chippy.

Imagine travelling up here to watch Everton for the first time and being treated to the Glenn Murray show. Don't you dare Everton.
the quickest from lime st is the bus from queens square which is a 2 minute walk away from the station , any other form of public transport is stupid and going out your way . 19,20 or 21 bus from by the Marriott hotel stands at the topEasy bet... jump the train from Central to Moorfields, get an Area C Saveaway, £4 + £1 card fee, and jump the soccerbus, failing that, get off at Kirkdale and follow the crowd. 10 mins tops!

It’s not about laziness it’s just far more inconvenient and going out your way m . It takes 45 minute to walk to goodison from lime st so that’s what a non ‘lazy’ person would be best doing .I'd argue, whilst conventionally closer by foot, it's probably slower due to traffic.
Based on my experiences of getting the bus to/from town, the train takes 10 minutes, then 20 total including the walk.
The bus usually for me, takes 30 mins. Sound for the lazy person, but I hate traffic personally! Each to their own.
This. Stay on till Central station. Change for the Northern line. Get the Ormskirk or Kirkby train to Kirkdale. Follow the masses.Get your ticket to Kirkdale then go from there, only 10-15 mins walk and there's a few pubs to stop off at on the way.
