Lime Street to Goodison

Hi,

I'm coming up for my first Home game for a while from London and wondering if anyone can help me on the best way to get to and from Goodison on Saturday from Lime Street.

I'd rather not have to pay Taxi rates but I think Uber is available in Liverpool now, albeit limited?

Is there any buses that go direct from Lime Street or Town to Goodison?

Taxi rank at the station is usually full, not that expensive mate, especially seeing as your from That London.

You will deffo get a Kopite driver though, weird how that happens.

Get your ticket to Kirkdale then go from there, only 10-15 mins walk and there's a few pubs to stop off at on the way.

Cost me 6 quid from city centre in a black cab for the Watford game, got a blue driver too who said he knew jj Kenny and was telling me about on the way.

Hackney cab should only cost you between £6-8, relax in the city centre for a bit and get yourself to the Lobster Pot chippy.

919 Soccerbus leaves opposite Dr Duncan's pub by St John's Gardens until 30 minutes before the kick off. Direct to GP with no stopping. £2, I believe.

Alex, when you get into Lime Street station, head for the escalator that takes you to the Merseyrail underground stations.
Exit at the side of St Georges Hall, turn right and you will see the bus stops on your left 100 yards further on.

Your best bet is the 19 bus, as this will drop you off at the back of the Park End, get a day ticket, for the return journey after the game.

Not 100% sure as regards frequency, but around every 15 minutes I think.

Alex, when you get into Lime Street station, head for the escalator that takes you to the Merseyrail underground stations.
Go on the escalator and head for The Wirral line. Head for New Brighton, have a nice day out and sack off going the match cos were crap.

Buses leave on St Johns Lane direct to Goodison before the match, not sure how long before. £2. And then get the bus back to Queens Sq after the game. (I did this 2 years ago)

The train to Kirkdale is what I use. You'll get a great view of BMD on the way too.
