Let's just hope our goal differerence doesn't take too much of a hit. What's this come to though? Desperately hoping Burnley don't smash four or five goals past us, a team that hasn't win in three months.

Can't see us getting anything.

We'll pick up enough points at home for safety, but games like this that should be winnable? Nope.

Nil return from this game I'm afraid.
A draw would be nice, but I'm not getting ahead of myself on that.
I'm hoping that somehow we can conjure up three points against an improving Brighton side next week, to settle my nerves.
Why do I keep having a horrible feeling that our final game of the season against West Ham will be a winner takes all fixture.

Coleman—Holgate—Mori—Baines

Walcott—-Rooney—Gylfi—Davies

I think this lineup on a high press would give us a good chance in this fixture.

Mori is out mate, and I don't think we'll see Coleman and Baines starting. Davies isn't a left winger and Rooney and Sigurdsson will never play next to each other. Apart from that, looks good.

Yeah I dont see anyway we win this. Burnley play well defensively, and we arent capable of mustering much. Its on the road so BFS will be very cautious, which means Burnley will have loads of possession and eventually force a couple through. Our only hope is a dodgy penalty.

I misunderstood the Fat Man's mumbles in his presser on Funes Mori; that's on me.

Otherwise, I don't see why Coleman wont play seeing as he is fit. Similarly with Baines as we have no other options in the squad at LB.

Why can't Rooney play next to Gylfi? specifically with Gana in support in the defensive role. Have we tried that yet and I missed it? All I know is Gylfi 100% must start centrally. Drop Rooney to the bench if need be.

I like the idea of giving Davies a run out at LM, especially away from home when we'll likely be asked to defend often, compounded by Baines' lack of legs or just our general lack of a player at the position if Baines is not fit. I think it could work with his inclination being to press high up the pitch, and his work ethic in tracking back.

Get Walcott to press high on the other side, and have Gylfi and Rooney keep strong positioning in the middle. Gueye covers the 30% of the world not covered by sea.

Look, if you don't think that's smart tactics; all's well, but at least say why Friend. I just like talking football.
