Unsworth was hung out to dry for 5 weeks so our weak players knew he wasn't getting the job, we should have left him in charge til the end of the season giving us time to recruit a long term boss. Instead we panicked hired this clown, at the second attempt and he is embarrassing the club with his "rescue" act that other teams have seen right through.

When Unsworth took over we were 18th.

When Allardyce took over we were 4 points clear of 18th.

After £50m spent we are 7 points clear of 18th.

Unsy gained us 4 points over the bottom 3 (in 7 games), Allardyce 3 over the bottom 3(in 14 games).

Yet one will get painted as out of his depth and the other as the man who saved our season.

Ladies and Gentleman, make of THAT what you will.

100% he was undermined, every press conference he was asked, does he have update on his future?. No wonder Mirallas and co messed around!!. If he was told he has ‘till end of the year, the players would of bucked their ideas up or been shipped out!!..

Allardyce is definitely taking the wee wee now. Coming across like he a man who knows he is up the road and is having a few pops at the club and supporters prior to it. If we lose against Burnley, i wouldn't be surprised if he is gone by Monday. Even if we somehow win he might be still be up the road pretty soon. I cannot see Moshiri being enthused by him being once again 30 minutes late for the press conference, yawning several times throughout it and looking mostly uninterested, having pops at the club and supporters, writing the season off again when we are only 3 points from 7th and basically talking total tosh about everything. It is an absolute disgrace and he has to go as soon as possible. I dont think he will be around for much longer.

I know it is the rule to dismiss everything that Allardyce says and does, but sometimes what he says although unpopular, i.e. we don't want to hear it, rings true. EFC success and Everton style is a distant memory, as it is for the other two clubs he mentioned, although theirs was far less success and far longer ago. As fans we have never lost our ego and belief we are a big club. Nobody else thinks we are a big club, as becomes obvious when you talk to fans of other clubs. That has been the case for years. What makes it far worse is we live in a city where the other team, although also unsuccessful for years, still believe they are a top club with world wide support based on a glorious period of European success. The media rave about them. They never drift far from the top and always believe next year will be the one. We have reached a playing level where Bournemouth and Watford and West Ham are our equals. We might struggle to beat Brighton next week. Allardyce says it as it is, he is managing a struggling unsuccessful club (again). The fans have never accepted the fact of our fall in terms of footballing status, and demand entertaining football. Poor recruitment has produced a squad of players without the flair and ability to entertain. He is definitely not the man to lead an Everton revival. We have the money but no leader.

So non of it is his fault ?

Not the hoofball, not taking the blame for any of it, blaming players, blaming fans, the arrogance, the lack of humility, seemingly not giving a toss

This is Fat Sam's opinion of us...

On the expectation at Everton "is the same as Newcastle and the same as West Ham. Everton have won a lot more in the past but the expectation is as big as at West Ham and Newcastle."

Joke

He’s not getting fired before the end of the season so calls for him to go after each game are pointless. Once we’re mathematically safe hopefully there’ll be a statement that he will be leaving at the end of the season.

"I’m here as long as I win football matches. If I win football matches I’ll keep my job. I’m surprised about the speculation. You can look at the two differences at the moment: not good enough away, good enough at home. But look at where we started - down by relegation - and if we beat Burnley, who started the season well, we’re level on points with them.

The away form is a long standing problem at the club. It didn’t arrive at my tender - it’s been under Ronald and Roberto. It’s not something we want, it’s something I have to remedy, but it’s a longstanding problem. 2017 was only two games won. 2016/17, in two years, it’s been 7 games. It’s been there a while and my job is to sort the away results out. We were close at Watford."

Shifting blame yet again. Get him out pls

The lying get.

Away form was good under Roberto.

It was the home form which ended up doing for him in that final season.

If the expectations are the same as West Ham and Newcastle, how can he be ‘surprised’ at the fact everybody wants him out?

He could be surprised that expectations are higher, and that he’s not meeting them and therefore under pressure. Or they’re the same and he could be surprised that they’re so high (at all 3 clubs) but not surprised at the pressure, because it’s happened to him twice before.

To say the expectations are the same but he’s surprised at the pressure is a complete contradiction, and is the sign of a man massively out of his depth and desperately attempting to appear in control.

He’s not a good person and he’s not a good manager, if he’s still here next season, I won’t be.
That last line... the sentiment is echoed throughout the fanbase. He is a toxic presence and really does harm to what is good about the club.

I almost expect him to be found to have all the proceeds from EITC 'resting' in his account a la Father Ted.

How he can simultaneously absolve himself of blame for atrocious away form "because the other guys were too" and take the credit for good home form, which by and large the last two guys had too, is this dinosaur in a nutshell.

Nothing is my fault, unless it's a positive in which case it's me

Our away form under Martinez was decent, even in his sacking season. It was the home form that was the issue.
