Weirdly, I would say that since the influence of Bill Kenwright has diminished we have lost our focus and direction.
Under Bill we knew what we had, many didn't like it ... a mid table club arguably punching above it's weight.
However, at the moment we are all over the shop. Top tier spending, mid to lower table team and no idea about the manager going forward.
In its simplest form you can't have two captains of the same ship with differing destinations. Bill's sentimentality rubbed off on Moshiri and or we took too big a leap at once. We knew where we were and I think Moshiri's money was what Bill wanted to play with. Just my opinion but, Bill has always wanted the glory, for himself first, not the club. His sleight of hand throughout his tenure is what haunts us now, his way of doing things seems to be an albatross around our neck. There are only a few areas we've improved in the last couple of years andvtheirvtrails tend to lead to Moshiri or his appointees, off the pitch that is.
The greatest living Evertonian still holds too much antiquated sway.
