“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

However you dress it up mate, he wasn`t wanted by the vast majority of the fan base, due to his murky past and his brand of football.

It was his chance to prove us all wrong.

He didn`t, end of.

We`re supposed to be grateful for him " saving us ", with his dire hoofball.

He shows no grace, he has no humility, he has no dignity, he throws his own players under the bus, he blames the fans, do you want me to go on.

He`ll be remembered for somehow managing to convince Theo Walcott, that Everton was the right club for him.

He`s nothing more than a stain on our history.
Post of the day. Sums up how I feel about it/him perfectly.

Maybe we interpret the word differently but i'd say in order to be classed as appalling he'd at least have to have taken us backwards, which he hasn't.

He's put us further away from relegation (his primary aim this season), and got us within 3 points of 7th which was where we finished last season with a 25 goal a season striker in our side. I am dealing in facts here not ifs and buts so please don't come back and say if Burnley had have won more games, or if we lose the next game we will be in x position, because that hasn't happened so it's all just hypothetical situations to use against him which is unfair.

Appalling was Ronald Koeman's effort this season and his neglect in signing players in key areas. Allardyce and Walsh not identifying a single left back in January was appalling so I will concede on that.

I'd say appalling is the perfect word to use.According to the dictionary:

appalling
  1. causing shock or dismay; horrific.
    shocking, horrific, horrifying, horrible, terrible, awful, dreadful, ghastly, hideous, horrendous, frightful, atrocious, abominable, abhorrent, outrageous, hateful, loathsome, odious, gruesome, grisly, monstrous, nightmarish, heinous, harrowing, dire, vile, shameful, unspeakable, unforgivable, unpardonable;
  2. Very Bad - awful
    dreadful,
    awful, terrible, frightful, atrocious, disgraceful, deplorable, shameful, hopeless, lamentable, laughable, substandard, poor, inadequate, inferior, unsatisfactory;

Surely an 'appalling' appointment would have us still fighting it out around the relegation places like Koeman and Unsworth had us for the majority of their time in charge this season? Appalling isn't how i'd describe someone who has got the club further away from the relegation places and closer to potential European Qualification since he took over. Not saying he's been amazing or anything but he's improved our position.

I appreciate most of the other frustrations people have raised and he has brought a lot of them on himself since the West Brom away game, but loads refused to even give him a chance from the start.

Yeah because we've seen him through the years and knew what was coming.

It's not hard.

Which makes it even more unbelievable that some people thought that he would all of
sudden change, the moment he got here. Mind boggling.

That's the worst part. He's a known commodity. Yeah, he's going to keep you up but it's going to be dire and you won't enjoy a second of it.

He's an absolute pig when it comes the media - which we've seen - and 'listening' to the fans - read, pisstaking at West Ham over the 'West Ham way.'

I want to say I'm shocked he's come here and not played mega expansive, life-changing football but I'm not. Because I know what he was and what he is.

I just find it astounding that some on here are still sticking up for him. We could put a pig in a jacket , with an Everton badge on and they'd say it was doing a good job. Come think of it ..

lol
I think he's the best troll to afflict this fine forum. And he hasn't even got an account. An absolute master at generating fume.

It's not really what we employ him for though is it?

If that was the remit for the job, Davek and Chico would have had their turns by now.

Is there anyone out there who still backs him.
Everyone wants the manager out but are resigned to him being here till the end of the season.
I don't ever remember that happening before. Usually a head of steam builds up and the manager gets the boot.
but here, there's no head of steam because no one cares, I know I don't.
The worst person in that job in my lifetime and I just dont care. What's happening to Everton.

it was never about my opinion of Allardyce, more about the people who vowed to stay away because of him, no doubt the same ones who distributed "Kendall Out" leaflets all those years ago only to come running back 18 months later. for the record i am still here, still going home and away every week, i am not really sure it makes any difference who we have as manager any more as we are so far behind it would take a miracle to get anywhere near the top 6. just watching Arsenal getting battered by City is a reminder of how far behind we really are, the same Arsenal team that have embarrassed us twice this year under 2 different managers! The problems at Everton are far more deep rooted than the manager mate however you keep away if that's what you feel you need to do, just disengage completely in fact because you know that if we ever do hit the big time again you will never really enjoy it because in your heart you will know that you bailed out when it got a bit tough.UTFT

I'm not sure how not supporting the manager means we bailed on the club.

The people on our board who have allowed our club to plumbs the depths to the point where we appointed Sam Allardyce are those who bailed on the club.
