There is enough negativity on here without writing off a guy who served our club with class and dignity, so tell us all Glawdys who would you employ to do this job which clearly needs doing, how about Lawro or Hansen, once again you'd have been first in the queue to moan so please supply us with your suggestion for the job as you are clearly not happy with someone who on the face of it is popular with the fans and appears to fit the bill.

Good point ... and perhaps ... just maybe a terrific ex-servant to the club may need a bit of a hand . nothing wrong with that imho
And perhaps the short term nature is to feel his way into the job

Professional development officer in most businesses looks after the professional training and qualifications of staff across the business
It may not be entirely football related though it could have something to do with senior players getting their coaching badges and management and leadership skill training
I footbal club is a business with a responsibility for the whole staff including players and non players
And I am probably talking crap

And that’s the description of the job in most professional sports clubs. Seems though that the job here though is to keep a watch on lads we have out on loan.

Who wants a potential ray of sunshine? Maybe this is so short term as there will be a change of how the football side of things at the end of the season... we can but hope.
 
I think this is a clever move ahead of our clash at Turf Moor on Saturday. It’s our club saying to Burnley, ha we took him off you as a player and now we’re taking him off you as a Professional development officer.
We are the big swinging dicks . Very clever psychology by our board

Won't look so good if we have two shots on goal and get beaten 1-0 - and Sam states it's the players fault.........
