1 - “The opportunities we squandered by our lack of finishing in the opposition’s final third ended up meaning we lost the game 1-0.”

2 - “We should have come off with a 0-0. But our problem away from home is not just the squandering of chances – it is also the fact that we are not picking up enough results to get us safe as quick as we can.”
3 - “Then we saw an outstanding finish from Troy Deeney. If you give him that much room in the box he will score and that’s what he did.”
4 - “The clean sheet is the answer. We have to get that clean sheet, which I thought we would achieve today, at least,” he added.

Can you believe this utter twaddle in the four statements above?
Item #1 - did we actually squander chances today? Number of shots on target?
Item #2 - 0-0 was the goal here, and the meaning of this statement kind of nullifies item #1 above, if in fact there is any meaning to it!
Item #3 - this is Deeney’s first goal from open play in the 2017/18 season. Are all the other PL defenses that tight marking him?
Item #4 - again with the 0-0 goal.why did he think we would get that clean sheet - because their attack is crap? Certainly not because our defense is so good... see Arsenal, Spurs, Southampton, etc.
I am sorry but this idiot plays not to lose, still loses and has no idea how to motivate or select a team to win.
The only time we have won this season is because of the paucity of talent in the other teams or some lucky penno’s’
I’d love the opportunity to say to his face....
“You sir, are not an Everton quality manager!”

Your actually serious aren't you?

Rodgers would get in at probably all bar 5 clubs in the league, maybe 6.

Hiddink would get in any club if he wanted the gig.

Are you seriously saying Allardyce is the only manager that could have ensured this team stayed in the division?

I'm not to sure many premier league clubs would take Rodgers. He has been very hit and miss throughout his career. His away record at Celtic in Europe is absolutely awful.

Name a manager out there who could come in in the summer and get how big this club is, get the players HERE NOW (clue there) performing and get us say...top 6ish next season???
I don't think anyone could get us top 6 next season. The teams above us are too far ahead.

However I do think Silva or Rodgers would be able to attract and identify better players. I think he would also be able to improve the players we currently have and maybe even to do more with some of the summer flops.

That's about as much as we can expect given how poor we are currently.

If we keep Sam I think it will be more of the same as now athough we would probably still get top 7 or 8. Big Sam is what he is. The football is awful but results would probably be OK.
