I will just like to add one thing.

Michy Batshuayi is doing very very well for Borussia Dortmund. I did say we should have made him part of the deal with Barkley.

See the official instagram feed has had a few pics of Cenk over the last few days, looks to be flavor of the month at the training camp

Mate we are the only club I know that spend 27 million on a new striker and then not play him!

In fact In recent memory I can't think of one team who has spent big on a player and dropped them immediately without giving them a chance.

If we spend 27 million we should play that player straight away, no question. If they aren't good enough you find out over experience, not get hammered 4/5 goals to the good and then claim the issue is your new striker!

But that’s such a short sighted view. Perhaps they through him in against Spurs to see what they could get from him.

Then upon further observations felt it would be best to intergrate him slowly.

It really doesn’t matter all that much in grand scheme of things. I’d rather get a return on our investment if the club felt he needed more time to get used to the premier league then keep throwing him in when he’s not ready and destroy his confidence.

It’s not a given then any player from abroad will instantly hit ground running regardless of transfer fee.

Sad to see many on here clinging onto big Sam analysis of Cenk as a benchmark to judge him.

People haven’t realise we have a manager that believe Schneiderlin should start every game, Lookman not good enough to make any sort of impact, Holgate is inferior than Mangala, talks bullshit every press conference but did exactly the opposite few days later.

I refuse to believe that big Sam is the ultimate suitable candidate within our club to judge the talent we have in the team and play them according to their merit.

He is the least trustworthy manager in terms of words coming out of his mouth and yet some of us choose to relentlessly use big Sam words and judgement to belittle Cenk.

If FIFA is anything to go by he doesn't work well if he's isolated. He needs players around him and that requires committing players forward.

But either view which ever side of the fence you are on is irrelevant.

Because the guy hasn’t played in his first 3/4 games since joining and people already either saying he’s a dud, or that Sam’s a fool benching him.

He needs time to adapt, simple as that. Regardless of who the manager is.

It’s far too early to judge him either as a success or a dud.

People need to chill out
