Antonee Robinson

Not sure about any of them: Robinson's doing well at Bolton - he's quick, good going forward but not so much defensively.
Galloway couldn't get in West Brom's team and can't get in at Sunderland, despite managers at both clubs praising his attitude.
Connolly is currently playing well at Ipswich but in midfield - for me he's not a natural left-back.

Hopefully, Robinson can continue to improve in the Championship, come back here in the summer, and then our coaching staff, whoever they might be, can assess him and make a decision on his future. Same applies to Connolly, but unless he's been incredibly unlucky with managers not picking him for some perverse reason, I can't see much future for Galloway with us, although I'd be delighted if he proved me wrong!
Its not unknown for young players to play further forward then drop back as they move into a higher grade...might not be the best example, but Hibbo started off up front. Don't quote me on it but Baines also?

Given the current state of left back affairs, if he can’t stake a claim at the start of next season then it’s best for him to seek pastures new.

..I was actually surprised he went on loan. He always looked a fine, classy athlete and can only assume it was his poor injury record that made the coaches want to see if he could play a full season of competitive football. He looked very decent in a few U23 games towards the end of last season.

There was a TV game last season where he just looked good and I remember a few on here being impressed.

Hopefully not a case of wrong place wrong time for him and that he does get an opportunity to play for Everton. Him and Gibson, in an ideal world, would be excellent competition for the number 3 jersey next year.

GIBSON and Robinson competing for LB next season is a bit too Zatlike for me.
Need experienced defenders
We all seen how good JJK was but Seamus showed him the next level up when he came back

Experienced defenders hasn’t done much for us this year though. With Baines in and around the club next year still for rotation, I wouldn’t mind giving a place to an academy left back.

1. Hes not in the whoscored team of the season, Joe Bryan is the seasonal, Ryan Sess is the monthly and Matt Target is the weekly.
2. Also according to whoscored hes ranked Boltons 7th best player
3. 4 Assists in 26 games is decent I suppose
4. Bolton are 19th in the championship

+ Strengths
Dribbling
Key passes
Concentration
Ball interception
- Weaknesses
Holding on to the ball
Aerial Duels
Passing
Tackling

1 to watch for sure and no doubt the loan will do him in the world of good, hopefully he uses this to kick on and push for a place in the next year or 2.

Bit worrying that as a left back his weaknesses are passing and tackling.

Do you not remember him playing for us? He was a good young left back who really shouldn't have been loaned in the first place. I'd say that affects his morale and the performances he's been giving.
This is my opinion too. I put much more weight on how a players plays for us as opposed to the ways that managers like Tony Pulis, Chris Coleman, and Simon Grayson use them or not in a different league.

I'd have our back up defense consist of he and mason in the middle and jonjoe and robison as fullbacks next season.

I’m all in favour of giving youth a chance
I’ll admit I know little or nothing about our youth set up and the players except what I read on here
A lot of people were saying JJK was ready , a World Cup winner , top class etc.
He done OK when he came in for Seamus , not spectacular but ok.
When Seamus came back for the Leicester we all seen how far behind JJK is and what he lacks can only be obtained through carefully managed gametime.
The same applies to Robinson and Gibson if they are good enough.
