New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I think, in the case of the RS, FSG provided an interest free loan to cover the whole cost but have required full repayment within five years? Might be remembering that wrong. Either way they ponied up the cash to get the thing built, saving the lucky gits the public period of uncertainty we are currently enduring

Fsg got a loan at a lower interest rate then loaned the money to Liverpool through UKSV.

The repayment period is 6 years

Nope
Nope
Nope

Your strike rate is impressively high to be fair.

*sigh*

The club pay £1.3M per year to the banks on a loan FSG took out for the project via a holding company. LFC are firewalled from any of that debt.

Meanwhile, Everton carpet bagger Moshiri seeks to make Everton FC pay £600M plus interest so he can inflate his share value and bugger off.

..surely there’s a simpler and much quicker way for him to make money given how long this is likely to take and the blokes age.

No idea.

In the case of FSG's loan: LFC pay the interest on it but FSG, not LFC, are the holders of the debt.

Compare and contrast with Moshiri's proposed confidence trick.
They are both up to schemes to extract as much as possible and not relinquish any of it. I just hope that our one pulls of his tricks whilst leaving us a stadium that fulfills everything we can wish for.

If FSG can get Liverpool regular CL qualifiers then they'll get a buyer who'll make them about a 400% profit. They've successfully mounted a PR exercise around Big Stand to ensure everyone knows the added value they've put into the club (and without the expensive headache of building a new stadium). If Klopp gets them top 4 this season and keeps them there next season they'll fulfil that plan.

I dont know. What's he done in the past other than bank a rich man's cash for him? The investments he made or suggested to Usmanov were very much hit and miss - and that's according to Usmanov.

Here he's pretty much shooting fish in a barrel with little discernible threat to his investment as far as I see.

For the love of god! You cannot load an excessive amount of debt on the balance sheet and expect to be taken over at full value as if it didn't exist, the buyers will take that into account. He has put in 200-300 million already, plus whatever it takes to buy out the rest of the shares. Do you think anyone is going to value Everton at over 1 billion?

Joe Lewis will get shut of his Spurs shares (something he's been planning to do for a few years) and their stadium will have cost more than the proposed BMD build. Moshiri wont be asking for a billion either.

If it's for sale, a club in this PL with an asset like that will find its buyer.

Yeah, he seriously doesnt understand financials even a little bit. Im not sure why people think people with billions are stupid enough to buy something purely based on assets instead of considering liabilities. Its really finance 101...

Oh I agree we would find a buyer as the price
would be lowered accordingly, but Moshiri would be left with at best what he put into the club which would hardly be worth all the input if he wasn't planning on staying.

..i’m not clever enough to know the answer to that, Dave. Perhaps Everton is the blokes legacy. None of us can see in his mind, surely it’s all conjecture.

Your right we cant read his mind.
But he has said in the past that hes not getting any younger.
I think that he does have the clubs best interests at heart and he wants to leave somekind of legacy which will be remembered for the good.
I think delivering the Stadium will be his.
