And they’ll end up bottom half and skirting with relegation.
There are plenty of managers capable of getting you out of the championship if you throw enough money at them.
That’s what the pozzo family did
Finding a manager who will make them an established mid table team team ( to start with ) is a lot more difficult and sacking him after 20 odd games is not the way to go about it.
They said in their statement that they were convinced Silva was the right man for the job
I’m sure they said exactly the same thing about the other 9 managers they fired and they’ll say the same about Gracia

Why will they? A clearly talented squad that hasn't got a manager that knows anything about defending, hence a definite no for me. They sacked him because his heart wasn't in it and unlike us they had a replacement ready and waiting. Whatever you say, they are clearly run quite well. We embarrassed ourselves with waiting weeks and weeks for a new manager to end up getting Big Sam.....
They also only sacked something like 3 of the 9 managers. This is Watford we're talking about and they are sitting in 10th in there 3rd season in the Prem in a row. In comparison they are seriously punching above there weight and they want more than mid table mediocrity. Fair play to them, clearly a well run club whether people like the way they keep changing managers for one reason or another

Of all the things to fume about... genuinely laughed then nice one!! cheered my Monday up

(gratuitously on topic mention) Not sure about getting silva now even my hatred of big sam am not sure we could physically handle another change

I have every right to fume:p. I am blue all the way through however glad to see cheered your monday up, just raise a glass now.:pint2:

I am amazed at those writing Silva off. Some say he doesn't know how to defend, you could level the same argument at Koeman and Big Sam based on their Everton tenures.

I can see no sign of improvement under Big Sam, there seems to be no plan other than to sit deep. He makes too many changes to the starting line-ups just like Koeman, whilst continuing to play the two most glaring weak links in Martina and Schneiderlin.

Silva manages to get his teams to attack, and until our approach unsettled him Watford played some really enterprising football with a weaker squad than ours.

Took over and hull were 3 points in to relegation, season ended and they were 6 points in to relegation.
Also nope. 21 points in 18 games gives him 1.66ppg and 14th as he'd be joint 12th but never beating anyone on goal difference.
Also this was with 3 games to go
FRAUD.webp

He then managed to lose 3 on the bounce, scoring once and conceding THIRTEEN. They played Palace, Sunderland and Spurs.

Allardyce is not the answer but this guy is just as far from it too.

Really pisses me off when people mention this. Hull were ALWAYS down; would have taken an absolute miracle to save them. I think his PPG there over a full season would have got them top half.

I don’t know why it should “piss you off” when people point out the facts of his latter days at Hull.

If indeed a miracle was needed to save Hull he had worked it then turned right round and undid it.

Having done well in the “new manager bounce” period when he got them into a safe position Hull totally imploded.

They took four points from the last 21 available.

They were in 16th or 17th place with three games to go and proceeded to lose all three.

The first of which was home to already relegated Sunderland where a win would almost certainly have kept them up as they would have moved four points clear of Swansea who were playing us later that day and whom were given a tremendous boost by the news from Hull.

And check the Watford results this season....they were already starting to slide before we expressed interest in him.

One win in four or sommat before they came to us.....and the match before they played us was a home defeat to Stoke City.

The man has been a total failure since he came to England.

There is nowt in his CV to suggest he is the man to sort EFC out.

Moshiri totally dodged a bullet when Watford knocked us back IMO.

Maybe but he has also set the wheels in motion in Watfords free fall which raises questions over his abilities

Fonesca needs to be no1 choice but would happily take Silva over Alladyce. Moshiri's business plan is all wrong though, stop paying big wages and pay offs for average managers and just offer massive wages to a genuine top quality manager and get them in who can in turn attract better players.
