Why would he be arsed about putting more than the bare minimum amount of effort in?

He's guaranteed between 5.0m - 7.5m no matter what if he's earning 5m a year. If he is binned off in the summer he'll have earned 2.5m for half a year's work plus at least half the next year's pay in compo.

5m pounds for six months work. He doesn't even need to worry about what happens if he takes us down. He was in retirement already, so he'll just buy a few more mansions with the payoff we give him.

Easy money.

See my other post, if not him who else was on the horizon wanting to jump in and take over?

Send an SAE to Mosh and Walsh for the answer to that one as we don't know who they approached. I'll tell you one thing though for £6m pa contract there will be no shortage of takers whatsoever.

Not quite with you, Mate, but I do think Sam has some pride about doing a job and doing it well. Don't forget he has a big pay packet because that was his price to take us on, now who else was lining up, Answers on a postcard to GOT.

Brilliant work if you can get it. Negotiate your own severance package if you get sacked.

WHO, go on put names out and back it up bearing in mind would they want to come to our mess never mind the pay packet, our mess if not fixed would destroy reps.

If he`s getting binned in the Summer, bin him once we`re mathematically safe.

There would be a collective sigh of relief within the club as a result.

The difference in his pay off would be negligible, give it to a caretaker, anyone - Royle, Ferguson, Unsworth, it wouldn`t matter, the season has been over since the RS knocked us out of the cup.

Start approaching potential quality replacements, with a clear plan for moving forward.

It won`t happen though.

Have to counter that thought by pointing out the players he inherited. Does not excuse poor selections or subbing but is a factor.

The players he inherited he said he couldn't understand how they were 'so poor defensively'- blaming Koeman - after the initial results . Now he is saying it is the players who have lost 'confidence' and 'let their heads go down'. Same players. Allardyce is supposed to be a good 'man manager' so it is up to him to build confidence in them.

Lad, I don't work in the football business! I don't know who's available and have no contacts with agents etc. You're being ridiculous, this is a forum for supporters to voice opinions. It's like me asking you to prove who deffo wouldn't come.

It's in the top 10 paid jobs in the world, if you think it'd be hard to attract a decent manager I think you're deluded.

Nonsense it would matter, need to get the manager we really want so that he can assess the squad playing and make the decisions neccessary, if that means going to a club and poaching their manager so be it! this business not a bleeding get well club.

True that. All he’s done is publically criticise players and deflect any blame from himself. I thought he was the type to put an arm around them and encourage them.

Seems he was being complacent about the situation too.

Sam has actually said a lot of things that made sense...until recently. He complains about the lack of pace in the side, says Rooney/Gylfi are too slow, yet he plays Morgan and McCarthy, with Williams and Martina behind them. Then he subs Rooney in and although we concede a lot of opportunities, we at least possessed the ball and created a few of our own, yet the issue is Rooney/Siggy, not Williams/Martina/Morgan. He says we don't have enough goals in the side, then he comes out again a relegation team at home with 2 DMs, and sits our other winger for Vlasic. Then he subs Tosun out, who did nothing wrong, one for one with a striker. Says we need a clean sheet, focuses on organizing the defense, and Williams gets caught way out of position with Holgate ball watching to give up a complete breakaway AT HOME against WBA.

Talk is starting to make less sense.

Thing is, I'm sure he's frustrated about the lack of balance in the side, but he knew who was here when he signed up.

No mate, realistic, if you drove a rolls Royce and some one offered you a bit more money to dive a Ford Anglia, I guess you would opt for the Anglia. Me I have a bit of pride. I don't work in the football business either bit I am a life long supporter of Everton going back to 1960, I have seen many games etc, read the papwers, look at forums, use my brains.

I`m not saying give it any of those that you`ve highlighted, they were the first names out of my head - hence the using the word "anyone ".

The important thing is to get rid Allardyce as soon as we possibly can and starting the process of getting the right person in.

Fine Mate.;) I will be clear friend I do not give a frigging care about manager, players, owners - I care about Everton Football Club and what ever it takes to get us back where we belong.

Back in the real world we offer a top 10 in the world salary plus substantial funds to correct the current issues and play in the most high profile, richest league in the world. There are literally hundreds of candidates if only we open our eyes wide enough.

I'd be amazed if a Fonseca/Favre type isn't lined up for the summer but knowing Everton maybe not. The next appointment will certainly set the tone of our clout and ambition though.
