The esk has said from day one this wouldn’t happen, seems like he’s got to stick to his story.

Thats actually not the case. He has always said, from his (Esks) POV as a business man, that it makes little sense, and would be difficult selling his shares. Think that still holds true.

I am happy to be corrected, but certainly in private, he has not said it would never happen. Or couldnt happen. But hes a mate of mine, so I am biased I guess.

He may be helping Moshiri from the side, but that doesn't equate to a decision on his part to sell his Arsenal stakeholding and take us over.

The only way I can see it as being feasible is in the period before the stadium is completed, but when we know it would be finished.

Apart from providing Moshiri with a fairly inconsequential favour (USM Sponsorship), there is no evidence of his involvement anywhere else.

If he was advising Moshiri, its hard to countenance that we would have got to the stage where Walsh was still in a job and Allardyce was hired, amongst many other things.

He is not even a bit-part player at Arsenal. Hard to see him being one at Everton, behind a proxy. It's just something between mates as I see it.

Why would he buy in when he can just send us tons of money to play at USM park, train at USM Finch Farm, and have USM on our kits once we ditch the kitbag deal?

To be honest, with the money around the PL right now, and it seems it will only increase, it does make sense for an investment firm to invest, because think about it, they invest say £400Million for a third stake in a club generate vast profits, when this is shared out to share holders, a third of the profits is a pretty good investment.

At least thats how my mind makes it be a sound business investment.

I dont think many football clubs pay dividends mate, and none make vast profits.

I think the way Arsenal run they do make a lot more profit than most, as they hardly spend!
Dont they? shows how much I know I just assumed they did lol

Never paid a dividend.

Tescos profit falls below £1 Billion, and there is chaos. Dont confuse turnover/revenue with actual profit.

Last Arsenal accounts show 44mill profit and 180mill cash in the bank... pretty sure that they are outperforming most! and they have 220mill debt, so with the cash in the bank they are virtually debt free!
