Would genuinely like Eddie Howe - I think he's worked a miracle in keeping Bournemouth up this long. He'd have to bring in a good defensive coach though.
Was it West Ham who appointed an attacking coach when Allardyce was manager?.

That worked out well. You can just imagine it. Theres your attacking player. I expect a goal and 2 assists every game. I'll work on clean sheets with these other 10.

It took Moyes a long time to sort out Smith's mess and the Rooney money allowed for the squad to be rebuilt in bad times.

Martinez had the easiest job in football - implement some attacking intent which he done. Moyes done the hard work for him and he destroyed that foundation.

After three seasons and buying some players who wasn't right for us he left the squad in dire straits in need of rebuilding.

Koeman came and basically wanted to tear it down and start again. That approach didn't work and left us in twice as much mess as Martinez.

Now, we need to get back to being Everton and play with that heart that saw us climb the table under Moyes and compete with the top 4. We need that underdog belief. The team must come together.

What am I saying? We are doomed for mid table finishes for the next 20.years. There really is no hope.

Ha Ha Ha.

I wouldn’t mind Lee Johnson, the Bristol City manager.

He’s done well there. They play good football, he has them well drilled & playing some exciting stuff. They’re 5th in the Championship after being in a relegation battle when he took over & they’ve done well in the League Cup.

Nah mate we declined massively post Moyes (under all managers tbf)

We conceded less goals in Martinez's first season than in all but one of Moyes 11 seasons.

It wasn't a priority under Martinez, we all know that. He wanted to outscore opponents. But let's not forget that he WOULD go defensive in certain games: the last two Anfield league derbies and the last Goodison derby was all behind the ball for a point, and I remember the trip to WHL in his last season here (when Cleverly got injured) and we set up negatively for the 0-0 draw.

It wasn't that he couldn't do that side of the game, he just didn't want to play that way consistently as it meant not going for three points.
