No mention of Schneids and Siggy, so you have faith in them?

I think Sigurdsson could cope in that formation. He tracks back well... Schneiderlin goes without saying.

Tbh, a huge problem with our team right now and why we're such a poor attacking threat is how dismal our full backs are at going forward. Modern football demands they give an outlet. Ours don't.

There is that, but also look at Martina not much good at defending either.

Are we really saying 4 4 2 with our centre mids and full backs is the way to go? Especially away from home.

No faith in Kenny, Martina, Rooney or Davies to cope in that formation.

Well we need a new left back.

And it's horses for courses but against West Brom (and the like) we should be using a similar system.

We need two strikers. The obsession with one forward is mental because we never get them support. So they become isolated and easy pickings.

Get Gueye in the middle and task him with the job of shielding the defence. Sigurdsson or Rooney as the other man - depending on when or if a left-back comes in. Kenny can cope, he's not a bad player at all, he's just been overloaded and the quicker Seamus is back the better.

We need to start offering a threat up top because at the moment all we do is invite teams on and our defence can't cope. It must be great going into a match against us knowing we offer zero going forward because we just have one striker who is totally isolated.

Against Leicester, what's the harm in going:

Pickford

Kenny - Holgate - Williams - Martina (NEW LEFT BACK PLS)

Bolasie - Rooney - Gueye - Sigurdsson

Walcott - Tosun

Just think Leicester would give us the run around. With Gueye and Rooney and midfield who is tracking midfield runners? Throwing more attacking players on the pitch won't solve anything if we refuse to play with any sort of pattern and continue hoofing the ball around.

We need to ask ourselves why our forward players are isolated and a huge part of this is because our full backs are so poor at offering an attacking outlet. It makes it so easy for opposition full backs to deal with our threat.

Fat Sam is our manager and you are stressing about offering a threat up front. It is not going to happen. We will defend our way to the summer and hopefully the bottom three clubs don't pick up enough points to overtake us.

Thing is, we could play with 3 strikers up there. It's not going to change the football the team play. They'll still look isolated because of the service they receive.

...we’ll certainly have to defend deep against Leicester or Vardy will run in behind us all game.

There is no doubt you are right, we are such a one dimensional team the opposition have free range to attack us without too much worry that we can hurt them. Yesterday we couldn't put enough pressure on the mighty West Brom that they had to concede a corner.

But that's happened under four successive managers, pal.

The service can be sub-standard but if there's two up there it doubles our chances of creating something.

We've played 4-4-2 once this season - in the second half v Watford. We scored 3 goals in 20 minutes.

Who tracks midfield runners anyway???

We need to attack. We're at home.

It doesn't mean surrendering all of our solidity. Defend deep - as we'll have to do anyway - but have Gueye in front of the defence with Rooney there to get on the ball.

Gylfi to play wide left and offer support to Martina (if he plays) because ultimately it's needed.

Bolasie on the right to offer pace and width. Walcott off Tosun to offer that quick link between midfield and attack.

And yes, you're spot on with the full-backs, which is half tactical and half one of them being so abysmal it's akin to us playing with a stroke.

Leicester don't use a midfield. They whack it long to vardy and mahrez.
