O.K., so I've been thinking about our Timothy. Not in a masturbatory way, but in a "Where does he play" way. And the more I think, the more I wonder.

You see, even a one eyed donkey could work out that Arteta, Fella, and Rodwell will have to fill the centre three places. Won't they? And Pienaar, Anichebe, Bily and Mr Magoo will look after the wide positions. Or will they? And there'll be a striker in the umm striking role. So, Timothy? Quo vadis?

I beg of you, don't slash me with knives for posing this question.

If we actually had a stable strike force you would see Skippy in a whole new light. He is a legend waiting to be born.

I really don't want him out of the side, but only time will tell and eventually he'll have to settle for a place on the bench some weeks, due to the high standards of quality we have in midfield now.

Some people seem to be banking on a completely fit squad and that remaining the case for every day of the season. This is Everton, the last decent run with injuries (and suspensions) we had we picked up fourth. Remember way back when...

I'm 38 years old and that's quite a few years older than Tim Cahill. Happy to inform you I can still walk around without help.

FFS lad, life doesn't end at 30.:P(y)

Aye, but Cahill's life as a consistant Premier League footballer, in a team looking to finish 4th should be over. Moyes now needs a pair and needs to drop him.

I hate to bring this fool into the thread.

Jamie Carragher. Aged 32, playing for a (once) regular Champions League team. Not even close to having the ability and fitness of Cahill.

Age means shizzle.

Quality and class is the mutz nutz.
