So, just to clarify: the massive "reveal" was that the club are in talks with the council regarding 2/3rds of the funding and they hope to secure the remaining third...and there was no designs of a stadium in sight?

@MoutsGoat
You are still talking? lol
I wonder if @AndyC owes you an apology? Its not exactly become clearer has it...

Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson has just been on stage. He says the next stage of the stadium project is to undertake due diligence and to present proposals to the cabinet. “The stadium is not a good deal for the city of Liverpool, it is a fantastic deal,” he says.

I don’t think they are mate.

The £300m comes from a lending institution that Everton are borrowing from, LCC will be acting as the guarantor on the loan should the scheme go 7its up ......

...... I think?

Yes, thats my view on it. But, some people will query it and could see an inquiry getting done. No doubt a few reds and non football fans will want it called in.

Dave, if I've genuinely offended you, I apologise... however, you and your endless negativity are extremely trying.

I suggested to you over a week ago that you desist banging on and on about the stadium being a non-entity, but you've chosen to carry on and on and on.

I am very confident that tonight will see all or the lions share of your negativity well and truly dispensed with.

No mate, I'm not genuinely offended.

...neither am I seeing anything here tonight from this AGM that would endorse any one's optimism.

Joe Anderson: “As much as I care about Everton, I care about the city even more. Number one, the stadium is great for the city. Number two, it is great for Everton.”
