Even if he's utterly rubbish, I'll never get over the fact they announced it during an FA Cup Derby where we were 1-0 down.

Fancy signing for a club who have absolutely ZERO to play for this season now.

at best we will finish 7th.

out of all cups.

I suppose there wont be much pressure on him to perform well from here on out.

thing is, after being there lastnight, I'm quite certain had he been playing he would have made a difference. it was that type of game, as VVD proved for someone unexpected to pop up and score.

could this get anymore Everton.

Christ sake

On paper, and from what the turkish restaurant say, he has potential.

Let's hope soo.

Can't judge him, before I've seen him play.

A bit sceptic though, i must admit.

Was at a Turkish restaurant in north London tonight and asked the waiter’s about him. All said he would be a good signing and they can’t believe his gone to Everton and not to a Roma or Dortmund type team.

Perked me up after hearing that so he will probably turn out to be gash knowing Everton.

Welcome Cenk I hope you live up to the expectations
Bayern offered Cenk stack of money, in his statements said "I choosed Everton" for many reasons. Cenk loves fans who support their team with passion. He also like to interact with fans after and before games. Learn how to do #triple (Famous Besiktas Chant) 1111111 2222222 333333 sssssssssssssst (quite second) then ohhhhhhhhhhhhh lay lay lay lay layyy Ooooooo Evertonnnnnnnn.

The proper way of triple :

Cenk Tosun triple :

I do like the fact he has said he is both right and left footed. that is something that will help tremendously if they are both as good as the other.

harry kane worked tirelessly on his left foot making it as good as his stronger right, and its made him a much more potent striker.

Come on mate, second to whom?

lol point taken! He strikes me as someone (like allardyce said) who is available and the best around at this price point.

I think he'll likely be a good player for us...so I'm not negative about the signing at all. However I think we need to either sign another u21 player to improve with a different skill set to DCL OR we go for someone else with more experience in the summer for a larger fee.

We do need to have 3 forwards and Sandro hasn't adapted and Niasse isn't going to be a top player...at the moment we have Tosun and DCL.

So what I meant was, I feel we will still go for another forward...and unless that player is u21 that would make Tosun 2nd choice on paper.

Would that be because he’s not a world class 19 year old who we’ve signed from some no mark Dutch/French/German club?

Perhaps you would be so kind as to name a 'world class' 19 year old from each of those countries so I could answer your question?

Totally agree that we should.
I think we defo need a big lump now. if andy carrol could actuall prove his fitness, then I wouldn't be adverse to signing him. but if we did I'm thinking it would be a huge perma crock gamble

In the announcement video it's broad daylight, so he was signed in the afternoon, but they literally waited until half time of a derby game to announce it. For what reason? Why couldn't they announce it straight after the Barkley news? What the hell is this club.
