Like I said, they were used interchangeable at my school, in my year. Of course I can't speak for the entirety of the town, but in my very limited blinkered vision it was (I accept as a kid the people immediately around me might not have been truely representative of society as a whole)

I've seen and heard both used since I was a small child mate.

For what it's worth, 'completed' wouldn't be what I'd use to describe it anyway - I missed several side quests (did all bosses but there's optional questlines I had no clue about but learned of in retrospect), I didn't collect every ring, miracle etc.

But I 'beat' the final boss and got the credits. So I 'beat' it, even if I didn't 100% 'complete' it.

That is what I was getting at.

We would use complete in the sense that there was nothing left to do. The guys who would speed run the game to finish it ASAP would beat the game, but not complete it.

I was always the kid who tried to do everything. I mean, spending all that money on a game just to get it out of your hair as quickly as possible? Nah, I always liked enjoying my investment.

I got this for crimbo off of my brother. I have about 3 of the crap ones after Black Flag to finish off.

I love this series, even with all of the flaws in some of the games.

I boxed off the new South Park game The Fractured But Whole on my Christmas holidays. There were some good bits but I felt it wasn't a patch on the first one despite the improvements in their combat system. I think a lot of the novelty is gone from exploring the town and they ran out of ideas for good easter eggs after the first one imo.

I still have a little bit left to finish off on the Horizon Dawn The Frozen Wild, I love the new mechs.

I still need to box off Mafia III(got Horizon at the same time as this and I'm about a third of the way through) and Sleeping Dogs(not too far off) as well before I go back into AC.
