It could get a little bit mezze today.

This lad still not signed yet.

Why does it take Everton so long to complete anything?

We love a protracted transfer saga at Everton.

It doesn't. Takes other clubs just as long, we just don't hear about the complete process from other clubs. Its taken Leicester 6 months to sign Silva....if that had been Everton, the usual suspects would be blaming the club.

Some information about the current discussions on Cenk

- If it was last year, we would say he's no fit for the PL. But in the last 12 months he has improved greatly physically and I'd say he's ready for PL for Everton. He may not be good for City or united but he'd be a fit for Everton.

In addition to SuperLig games, he had an outstanding performance in National Team and more importantly in CL games. He was a total headache for the defences of Monaco, Leipzig and Porto. Until this year, he was a good finisher, but he now evolved into a great striker with monsterous actions in all around field. Superlig is more difficult for him, as the oppenents are playing 8-1-1 against Besiktas :)

- There are claims that SuperLig is [Poor language removed]. Thats a discussion but if we look into Besiktas' recent matches with PL teams... (Forget about the past:)

Current Besiktas team is a new team formed since 2012

2014/15 Arsenal 2 games aggregate 1-0 on Arsenal
2014/15 Tottenham 2 games aggregate 2-1 on Besiktas
2014/15 Livepool 2 games 1-1 draw and Besiktas kicked them out of EL competion after penalty shoot out.

The current squad is much more stronger and Besiktas could easily beat PL teams ranked under the first 6 and would give a lot of hard time to other top ranked teams with the exception of M.City.

So the league maybe a discussion but Besiktas' level is very high and Cenk is a leading figure in that team.

- He's a very good character and professional and this is the reason behind his continous develepment - he'd never be home sick for that reason.

- I dont think the deal is closed because if the offer was really 25 m Sterling, he'd be sold already. BJK President will not sell him for under 25 m euros and I think thats the reason the deal is still pending and BJK may choose to wait because he's on the list of a lot other teams for the year end.

He’s been in the UK for 48hrs.

Is it unreasonable for him to complete a medical and negotiations in that time?

Presumably his current club have given him permission to travel which would suggest they have an agreement with Everton.

I don’t like these very public transfers, raises suspicions whether one of the parties has an ulterior motive.

Are you worried he will end up at West Ham?

Give the lad a chance to get over his New Year hangover before he has a medical or sign a contract. It took me 2 hours to find the courage to get up this morning & that was forced upon me thanks to my bladder.

From what Besiktas fans are saying, the things I am hearing and liking are his work rate, attitude and the fact he appears to work on his game. He'll need all of those to make it here and to win our fans over from the onset. Which is also important as getting off to a good start is important, the likes of Beattie didn't recover from a bad start.

One other thing to add: He displayed his most stunning performances in the CL games this season. We were so impressed to see him turn into that strong and fast type of the striker that would make solid CB's like Kamil Glik in Monaco to look weak. some selected actions only in the CL this year are in this video.

It may not be tourist Mecca beyond Ally Pally & the pubs associated with The Kinks and Rod Stewart but it is a fabulous place to live with so much green space, great and varied shops/restaurants and a grade 2 listed Art Deco cinema amongst the great amenities for locals

The restaurant he went to, Cilicia, serves the best and most authentic Turkish food in North London which has a large ethic Turkish enclave so it was a logical place for someone to recommend to him. It may even be that he/his family have some personal ties somewhere with the owners’ family?!
I was tugging my friend
I’ve lived in muswell hill and East Finchley
Very nice too
