RANGERS

It's amazing how David Murray gets away with the way he killed that club, because he basically did. If he'd just spent reasonably they would have still won loads of trophies. Celtic's revival in the late 90's under McCann clearly rattled him and he overspent to keep the gap in place

And yet all the heat goes on Green and Whyte. He scapegoated them superbly

Well what did the damage, was the money spent in the Advocaat years, when David Murray wanted to go all out for european glory.I don't think it was so much Fergus McCann, it's just that David Murray wanted to make Rangers fans happy. He wanted them to live their dreams. That was both his strength and weakness, that constant need to make sure that he was popular with the support.I guess David Murray both made and broke Rangers.Because before the Murray/Souness revolution Rangers were a fading force, having fallen behind Celtic Aberdeen and Dundee United.

I think consistency is key now for Rangers. But if we can see the Rangers that beat Aberdeen back to back, and the Rangers that took the fight to Celtic today every week, then there will be no problems.

Was genuinely impressed by these today. What I liked was the lack of respect, not letting any Celtic player settle on the ball, even in their own half. Compare and contrast with us next week at that Skip. Sigh.

Rangers went toe to toe with Celtic for the first time in years. It still looked like men against boys for most of that game though.

Brown intimidates Rangers' players. He is the undisputed lord of the manor.

Well the gap between Celtic and Rangers is massive.Rangers were missing a few players today though, but they still gave it a good go.Now are Rangers going to build on this, or will they follow this up, with another Hamilton Academicals like result?

He was barging Rangers player all over the shop and strutting round like he was Ronaldo. He completely owns that Old Firm match these days.
Corky is owned in here so therefore should have realised that fact, Rangers celebrated that draw almost as much as the RS did against WBA, because of a mere draw this thread has now become a hotbed of activity and Corky has even managed to attract a pal, you'd think they'd actually won the SPL but in reality won't be on the same home straight at the finish.

I think Rangers fans are saluting a battling and defiant showing from their team. The same way they showed bottle and defiance when Aberdeen were beaten back to back. Now all the Rangers support ask is for these sort of displays to be more frequent, they ask that Rangers secure second place, and finally that they win the Scottish Cup this season.
