But we’ve seen with Klaassen and Sandro (who scored for fun in less physical leagues last season) how difficult it is to adapt.

The positive re Tosun is that he’s obviously a more physical player than Klaassen and Sandro and should, on paper, more more suited.

Champions league scoring stats need to be taken with a pinch of salt, he might’ve scored those goals against Maribor and Celtic for example (not sure who they were against?)
Their group was with porto, monaco and leipzig

pointless just looking at his scoring stats, we're not looking to buy another lukaku. I wish we were tbh, but that wasn't the spec we were looking at.

I want to point out that Sandro, quite literally, has had one good season so far in his career and we bought him on the back of it. He was low risk for the price and we'd likely make a profit on him even if we sold him in january.

Klaassen, if you actually looked into him at all was an enigma for ajax. A player who literally was not involved in anything their team did whatsoever. He touched the ball less than every other player, he is doing the same thing here to be honest.

Tosun has actually got a bit more consistency and more to his game by the looks of things. Of course anything could happen but yeah.

His CL group was Porto, Monaco, Leipzig - he scored 4 in 6

I did, as a Besiktas supporter :) He played as a right winger till been substituted on 58' and scored one.

Opponent was not a strong side so; nothing to say about his performance level.

I've just signed to the forum, if you have anything to ask about him please do.

Ps: Sorry if i have bad grammar or language probs :)

Is his wife attractive?

Does he like pineapple on Pizza?

How many goals will he score next season?

To be fair, the majority of our fan base seem to think Lukaku is a bad player. With that in mind I couldn't care less what people think or want to say about Tosun.

I will form my own opinion as our season continues.

Okey here is what you should know about Cenk Tosun.
I m not a bjk fan but i know Cenk well, so you can count on me being unbiased as much as i can.

Cenk is still improving his skills and mentality even at the age of 26.
You guys never heard of him because 2-3 years ago he was an average player with a little potential.
Many ppl thought he seems to fulfill his potential. Regardless he still manage to find ways to improve his game. His finishing improved drastically over the years along with his positioning. He also learned how to first touch the ball in the penalty box in order to find himself a better opportunity
to finish when there are players covering him. He also learned how to pass/fool defences rapidly before finishing in penalty box. When he is in good form he can finish with his both feet and head. Outside of penalty box he can not deliver as much. Dont be fooled by the youtube videos.

But tbh this is the good thing about Cenk and i think Everton is ready to pay 20m+ euros because he seems to improve his game play all the time.
If he starts banging screamers 30meters away from the goal i would not be surprised.
In short you are paying for a player with full of surprises but dont worry! They are probably going to be good ones. If he got offers from la liga i would definitely say he will be a god since his pace(?) and physical attributes are more suitable or even over la liga standards. Since epl defences and play style is much more rigid/rough than any other league in the world, you should wait couple of months before having an idea for Cenk.

He might not be pacey or bulky for epl standards but he definitely has the technique and determination to play in epl. Plus 20m+ euros is not much of a money for football players nowadays.

Ps. Not a native English speaker. Sorry for mistakes.

has my support coz he is not Shane Long or Deeney. Playing and scoring in the CL so im willing to give him a chance.

usual beauts losing the plot coz we didn't spend 70 or 80 million on a striker. This is the level we are at
