All this is paper talk I hope. Perhaps our board and BFS will do what West Ham and Moyes did and appoint an ex-player to his coaching staff to assuage the fans - Stuart Pearce. What odds Big Sam bringing his old mate Peter Reid back?

You can say that of most managers,we put 4 past Peps world beaters last season. And given that Allardyce has taken over two struggling sides in his last two Prem jobs,it's hardly a surprise.

Sunderland conceded 62, 19 in 9 before him (2.1 gpg) - 7 came in the first two games of the season, seven games prior to him taking over they conceded 12 in 7 games (1.7 gpg) and 43 in 29 games after he arrived (1.5 gpg) - som he improved them marginally over their recent form defensively. and the majority of that came after he was able to spend and bring in defenders - saomething which any single manager could have done, it wasnt coaching or tactical i t was getting another better player in defence. In this case Kone

AT Palace they bacially stayed up because they managed to loan Sahko in the January - who played so well for them he got their player of the season despite only playing about 8-9 times before getting injured - and Palace during that run of games basically won about 6 of 8 and where utterly turgid either side of it.

He lucked out on Klopp wanting Sahko gone from the club, palace go down if that event doesnt happen.

He's been lucky in both prior clubs, Defoe having a throwback year at 34 and then sahko landing on his lap

This isn’t actually going to happen lads come on. I wouldn’t take a job at Anfield for any amount of money if I was in the business he hates us just like we hate them. He worked with Koeman a lot as well as Allardyce and he never came here then either...

So he had Kone scouted and signed and requested Sahko on loan (or did Klopp force him to take him?) and that was just luck? If he brings in a decent central defender in January who stops us shipping goals that'll be lucky again I imagine....just hope he stays lucky!

any manager is capable of fixing problems by bringing in players in January, allardyce is a very very mediocre manager

It's gonna happen mate, one hope is that finally some of the people who have been supporting the Board finally wake t' f' up and realise what they truly are - a gang of parasites. We won't though we will clap along as usual whilst saving the boos for homegrown academy lads

I've seen people attacking Unsworth, Royle and Fergusan (who should be questioned not attacked) to justify not just Allardyce but his cronies getting a job.

Fancy throwing decent people, who would bleed blue, and in Unsworths case ruin his own coaching career to give our useless board time to find a suitable candidate under the bus to defend Sam. I don't get it.

Problem is though, the old blue network is 'another' symptom of whats wrong with the club mate, besides for Unsworth (and prior to that Sheedy) none of the former blues are very good atb their jobs i don't believe, should be a meritocracy inside a football club - not a way of giving jobs for ex players - they want to do that - then there is many other ways they can do so which don't involve putting them into coaching roles.

I voted top "Yes" because it felt more Yes than lower "Yes".

I really can't stand the bitter kopite troll dwarf.

The board a million miles away from understanding our fan base.

Mate this is his reaction when West Ham fans boo'd him - whilst he was still their manager btw, he honestly doesn't give a 'f' about the fans it's just about him and his bank balance

That's modern football though isn't it. ALL about money.
