Everton reopen talks with Sam Allardyce

We need to sort the defence out ... then
We need to score a goal occasionally.

If Allardyce can do that, then that's the price we pay.

Assuming he gets the job, then this will likely be his last chance to show he can do more than just keep a club in the league. Lets hope he's still ambitious enough to want to show that he's more than just the football equivalent of Red Adair*

Former England boss Sam Allardyce recently said games like Fifa and Football Manager were teaching his grandson "how to manage".

he surely has massive ambition to win an FA Cup or league cup at least. And we should give him his best chance of doing it you would think.

It’s almost as if Allardyce holds out until a club is in the worst possible situation it can be in before taking a job, that way his terrible win percentage looks mildly successful.

The board have obviously hit the panic button as relegation is not an option, only Everton would get a billionaire owner and end up with a squad of useless flutes managed by Sam flippin Allardyce.

If Allardyce was 2nd choice / backup they should have made It clear that they were going to give unsworth a chance for a few games which I think he would have accepted. At least then you don't interview someone and keep them hanging on.

I just think they told Unsworth to carry on until they decided.

But as it unfolded (with Silva) and results got worse, theyve now made a choice.

Sorry, but this is a load of nonsense, at least the West Ham part. I'm not Big Sam fan, however, it is clear that he organised our team and the backbone of it was what helped to make Bilic's first season so successful.

As far as I remember, the same went for Bolton, Palace and Newcastle. Did he even managed Villa?
