A ball over the top, as seen on more than one occasion this season, has crippled us. To play a high line you defend from the front, which Unsworth was supposed to implement, clearly haven’t got the aptitude to do it.

The only way you’d get away with a high line is with a sweeper IMO.

I know you think playing Vlasic and Lookman will solve the issue, but it won’t. Lookman as shown regularly he hasn’t adapted to the PL, he’s massively below standard. Yes he’s dynamic every now and then, but his positional play is atrocious where he’s taken out of the game with one pass.

Vlasic, who people have crowned Messi off around 100 mins of football, may have something but even under Koeman you could see he still made silly mistakes

He has no defensive discipline. Does not have a clue how and when to cover the full back.

I would imagine he was asked if he would like to take charge once Koamen was released, we all knew the first squad was an utter mess. He could very easily ducked it and stayed with U23s.

That’s it, he’s ill disciplined to play in a team that requires 90 minutes concentration. Just putting him because he runs a bit is pointless, we’ll be 10 down and he’ll have a 5 minute cameo

Absolutely not true. Rooney should have been on after 30 mins today, Scheiderlin should not be near the team, similarly Mirallas, But Unsorth picked them.

We should have hada replacement strategy as soon as he was signed.

We need a good young manager maybe from the upper championship etc to shape a team and get rid of many misfits!

It's this five weeks business, Joey that's got be worried sick. We needed someone desperately to come in and squeeze the last bit of effort out of these gutless buffoons, then limp through to January, offload the dead wood and bring in reinforcements.
As it is, every bumming we get, is another's nail in the coffin. Whatever genius takes us on, will have too much to do.
Scandalous incompetence by the board yet again, but unfortunately we can't sack the board, and I've no confindence whatsover that they're going to make the right appointment, not while Kenwight is anywhere near the decision making. They thought Koeman was 'box office' ffs, sacked him and replaced him with Unsworth!!
I said earlier, that some of the names mentioned, that make me sick to my stomach even contemplating, will become a grim reality, such is the apathy that has spread through the fans.

It's not the managers. It's the players. We buy rubbish, year after year. Everyone knew Wayne Rooney and Morgan Schneiderlin were chod. Everyone could tell you that Ashley Williams best days were far behind him. Everyone knew that signing a few no marks from the Dutch league was going to cause us problems.

But no, let's blame David Unsworth.

To me he didn't help his cause by starting the match essentially 442 with two defensive mids, gylfi playing as a left mid, Calvert Lewin who can't score and has been unfairly thrust into a starting role paired with Mirallas who hasn't been in form and then he's played as a striker along with Lennon on the right. Just flat out poor tactics.

To me lookman should be on for Mirallas out wide and vlasic for Lennon out wide, gylfi ACM and either Sandro or Rooney as striker. The defense was the best of what we got, would have stuck with gana as holding mid and Klassen beside him as box to box.

Still don't know of we win any more games during his tenure with that but rather lose with the kids.

Both came on and nothing has changed. Like I have said these young players have no defensive discipline. That's why experienced players like Lennon were starting.
