I'm not suggesting he's the answer to our failings (and his) in that role, but as well as the obvious problems we've had elsewhere at CB and a surfeit of No.10s and lack of width and no attacker, the way we set up at CM needs looking at. Besides the usually reliable Gueye (effort wise) it is a mess. We've played with two holding m/fs for so long now it's almost taken for granted and it's getting us nowhere fast.

We need another way of making that area of the pitch work for us.

He uses the ball well and plays on his first or second touch. Ideal for the deep lying playmaker role that Morgan has managed to make a car crash of.

I agree MK. I still see his best position in a three like a Lampard making late runs and getting goals. We seem to play him at #10 which he doesn’t have the guild for, or in a defensive position which he doesn’t seem to have the pace for. I think if Barkley was playing we’d see a better Klaasen and Davies thanks to his link play and bringing others in.

My problem with him is that he seems very slow. You have to be some player to make up for that playing his position and I just can't see it as much as I want to.

Very good on FIFA. Scores tons of headers but I play with wingers either side and Rooney up front.

Well if that’s the case let’s make sure he starts every game
 
The tempo of the game has been much quicker in recent weeks under Unsworth. I think we may well see Klaasen and Sandro being brought in in the next few weeks as this style of game may suit them better.

I expect they are working at FF getting used to what is expected of them.

We are lacking any sort of creativity in midfield. I like the boy Davies and he's got a bright future but he's out of form atm and needs a rest I think Klassen is a good option.

It's what should have happened at the start of the season, with the group stage Europa games and cup games used to rotate and ease them in.

Instead they were both thrown in at the deep end in the Prem and neither have settled.

Davies puts himself about more though in terms of his physicality and aggression - which is vital in the Prem.
