I think he's in a corner. I fully expect the next appointment to be Dyche or Allardyce (ouch!). We've simply got to stay in this league and get the right man to get something out of this sorry group.
But there is twenty eight games to go, any of the two mentioned seem like a quick fix.

There's the conundrum. A relegation derails the entire plans for the future, the stadium included, so is unthinkable. However it is still early days in the season so bringing in Allardyce as a fire fighter is premature imo, its time for clear heads and clear thinking. A win today settles the nerves as it stops the rot.

There is mate. So still time to re-group etc. In that regard Allardyce might be better (hurting me to say that), because he might be 'happy' to be in charge for the short term. Dyche I would imagine would want a 3 or 4 year deal.
I think I can see your point, in that we need to think longer term and have a vision/plan etc. The reason I'm worried about the immediate term is that I see us falling further behind the teams around us. This group of players don't seem up for the fight to me. No leaders. So, I'm thinking "just get organised and stay in this league".

Particularly with the run of games coming down the pike.

A win today sees us “shoot up” that table to 15th place.

Beat Palace away in the next game and we would be mid table.....and with the confidence a couple of back to back wins would bring we will be in the top half of the table in no time.

This job could well look a lot more attractive to progressive managers by Christmas and the impending transfer window.

We do not need to go for the nuclear option at this moment in time IMO.

Just say no to the Allardyche Boys ;)

It's a huge shame because I think Farhad has done everything in his power to get us back on track. Since Koeman has arrived we must've had a total spend of £220-250m at a guess?

Regardless of the outgoings, Farhad brought in what the entire footballing world would've seen as a solid team to manage the transfers: Koeman and Walsh. £250m is enough to build a team that competes with the top 6 if done correctly in my opinion.

We weren't even a million miles off last season, 7th place with a pot of £150m to make up 10 points.

Moshiri has taken us to the bottom of the league courtesy of his nightmare managerial appointment; wrecked our footballing credibility; allowed the precious resources of Stones and Lukaku's windfall to be wasted; employed a DoF who's not a director of football; and now he'll be revealed as the puppet of an Uzbek *businessman* and drag the club's name through the gutter in front of a national and international audience.

Is there any real debate to be had here regarding Moshiri's toxicity for Everton football club?

He has been a disaster. He's been here 18 months and we are on the canvas. He's been the worst possible choice to take over the reins of this club that you could care to make. Just as Koeman was never a fit for Everton, neither is Moshiri. He's an alien force here and he needs expelling.

How can you blame Moshiri for bringing in a top rated manager like Koeman, is it Moshiri's fault that he failed ? Was Koeman not given the money and resource to succeed ? Dave was Moshiri supposed to see into the future when he chose Koeman and Walsh to manage Everton, no and neither you nor I or anyone else could foresee the [Poor language removed] storm that followed. As I recall most Evertonians including myself were pretty happy with the appointment of both Koeman and Walsh, who honestly could say at the start of the season this would happen, as far as I could see he done right to sack Martinez and done right, at the time to appoint Koeman, then a top line, respected manager. As for Usmanov I don't recall supporters moaning when he sponsored Finch Farm and yes everyone and his dog knew about his relationship with Moshiri, again few Everton supporters complained as we had a new rich owner. It's okay in hindsight to blame who you like, but I see a man who unlike our previous owner has give us hope, ploughed money into the club and is trying to give us the waterfront stadium we've always desired.

What he is or isn’t may all prove to be a academic anyway. If the forthcoming Panorama programme can provide evidence of dual ownership , and they have to be fairly confident to air it, then he will presumably have to divest himself of his Everton shares and return to the side of his Russian master.

Dont blame the messenger.

We've lay down with dogs, dont complain of the fleas

the results of his reign are there for all to see, he has presided over this mess, I am certain he wouldn't tolerate one of his business interests performing like this, he may be a very successful business man however he clearly has no idea how to run a football club. time for him to step up and show us he is not an Iranian Venky
