Sunday atmosphere

Tenner on Watford buys a few beers to drown the sorrows - or is money well spent. Nearly 3/1 - you could almost forget it’ll be Monday the next day.

Like it or not - you're an Evertonian and these are your players. It serves no-one to not support them when they're in the act of representing us on the pitch. Because, frankly, that's where it matters most.
Slam them on twitter, forums, in the pub all you want. But bottom line is we need them to win matches or we will be watching them on the channel 5 highlights show next season
Spot on mate everybody should be well up for this Sunday not just going to boo and moan just get behind the team ffs.

You are 100% right mate.

The fans need to stand up and be counted Sunday, this is a must win game.

Completely disagree. You're asking fans to lie about how they fell and "happy clap" along to create an artificial atmosphere.

That's not what we do. We expect certain standards - when they're not met, we let them know. Everton fans aren't hard to please - all the players have to do is show some effort; not wilt like cowards the moment things go a bit south.

By the way, this is the sort of thread I've read from other people in the past and thought, "oh calm down you bell".

But I'm am genuinely, genuinely worried to the extent that I am prepared to be that bell.

Perhaps then, those peoples were not bells after all? Perhaps it was yourself that was being a bell by calling them a bell?

Talking of which anyone remember the fella in the Enclosure who used to ring the bell every time we attacked?

Do you not go to the match to enjoy it mate? Surely getting behind the side is better for the soul than standing there being miserable and waiting for players to make mistakes to vent your anger?

I go to support and encourage competitiveness and talent. I don't go to happy clap mediocrity and cowardice.

Good Lord. If any post sums up our Sky generation fans attitudes to support this is it.

Absolutely, totally 1,000,000% this! Try for me, try your hardest blues and I will follow you into the gates of hell! Show me the yellow streak down your backs and I will howl like a banshee for your slow and painful deaths!

Players badly need us behind them on Sunday. If we are quiet and tense then Watford will grow into the game and not be intimidated.
But an angry, loud Goodison really can be like a 12th man.

We all know we are utter dross at the moment. But can we try and make some atmosphere from the get-go this week? Like an FA Cup atmosphere?
Fully agree

Completely this. If we lose at home to Watford the players deserve an absolute torrent of criticism because that would be unacceptable.

I've supported Everton before the Premier League began, I remember well Mike Walker and Walter Smith, and I always supported effort even if it was from proper turgid players like Gemmill or Pembridge.

I'm not going to happy clap Ashley Williams after his latest solo devouring of a banquet for four, ambling around with his faux hardman routine alongside ten other millionaires who are sorry for themselves because the other team aren't letting them win.
