Yeah I cant see many deals done pre-WC, but those that have money, which to be honest isnt many, they will be the key to the madness.

People call City and Chelsea for the spendin they do, but without them throwing money around it would be a very crap window all round.

It was also in The Times today that Everton have a battle on their hands from Man City to hold onto Arteta and Spurs to hold on to Pienaar.

Birmingham are throwing this money around now........

BUT I GUARANTEE THAT... this will be reflected in their balance sheet and it'll be debts that they cannot service without a dodgy Asian businessman with an offshore account in the Caymans........

and nobody knows precisely how much he's worth!!!!!

You really couldn't write it....

Not sure about this. Given the reliablity of rumors there's an equal chance that Arteta wants to stay for life and that his kid can shoot laser beams out of his eyes.

This is another thing about this bullshit Mail:

"It is understood, Arteta's agent has already sounded out La Liga clubs about possible moves for the £12m-rated star."

He's under contract until June 2012. His agent is breaching the regulations even speaking to other clubs (unless he's in the last 6 months of his contract). Therefore if Everton took exception to this - his agent could be banned and wouldn't have his licence renewed.

These tabloid idiots really need to get a grip

Well if it was the normal "sources say he wants to move" story I wouldn't have posted it, but the bit about his son gives it a bit more legs and is more unlikely to be made up (imo - I can't see even them making up a story about a kid's non-existent disability). We'll see, though.

Mate, we've seen this before... it's a "because of (something) ..." + "wants to move back to Spain".

Its formulated media spiel.

Liverpool has one if not the best childrens' hospital in the country (Alder Hay).

If the blerts at the mail actually knew this - they might have considered that before manufacturing a story

Garbage mate. Your basically saying there is that the Daily Mail has a heart. There the scum of the earth.

Not related by topic, but I just read on article about Steve Jobs the CEO from Apple and that he apparently said on Twitter that the iPhone 4 is going to get returned due to it being faulty. Well the Twitter account in question is widely known in all the technology and design circles as a fake account and not the real Steve Jobs - but the Daily Mail based a whole article on a lie from a fake account.

So what does that tell you about the quality of journalism that stems from this arse of a newspaper?
