Assuming he was fit, then Unsworth is making a big mistake by not including him. He's one of the only players we have, along with Lookman, who is going to be able to change our situation before January.

I have been in favour of playing the likes of Lennon to provide some width in some games but i've also called for Lookman. I've seen no evidence, and results prove it, to suggest that the younger players like Lookman and Vlasic shouldn't be given a run of games ahead of the senior players.
 

Very poor excluding him if he's fit, smacks of lets just exclude most of Koemans summer signings for the sake of it.

Good point mate, I mean apart from Rooney, Pickford, Williams and Gana, (oh, and Davies and DCL who Koeman brought through) which Koeman signings has he picked?

Quite clearly stated "summer signings" Beavis. And that's if Vlasic is fit, which he probably isn't!

No, obviously Unsworth is deliberately leaving out players based on in which transfer window they were signed, despite the fact three of the six of them played a part today. That's a reasonable assumption to make; I'm sure loads of managers do that.

Defintely signed more than six players in the summer.
Should have worded it better but the summer signings with no PL experience do seem to have been bombed. P.S I wouldn't put Martina, Klaassen or Sandro in my squad either.

Yeah, we signed 8 I think, if you don't include Onyekeru. Martina aside, I think they're all decent players but I can't see how any manager would ever keep them all happy and involved and when you look at the lack of pace throughout and the age and form of our defence, it looks like a massive screw up. As for Vlasic, I like him with the ball but I think he's defensively unaware. He doesn't pick up runners quickly enough. He'll have loads of opportunities to learn next year with 2 games a week in the Championship.

I wouldn't really argue with choosing players with PL experience at the moment, but something needs to click soon.
