Mate I don't have masses of disposable income. I am paying my dues to the days where I had **** all and needed help to buy things.

If I quit its because I'm bored, not because I'm getting hounded out by certain individuals.
 

There's some cracking rags to Oxfam stories getting told here. Tears in my eyes. People saving up their pocket money to become chairman of ICI. Hats off to them. Hard work that is.

I've started working in a restaurant at 15 because I wanted money because my parents were not rich and I needed to help myself. I studied at college and did 30 hours a week, then went to Uni, came home on a Friday afternoon and worked Fri, all day Sat and Sun day - then back to Uni for the week.

When I graduated in 2000 I couldn't get a job in my industry, wasn't prepared to move down south because I love where I am from and wanted to stay close to my roots.

It took 5 years of me working in restaurants, factories - getting up at 6am with some right losers I can tell you, temping, and not once have I claimed any dole or anything. I have always made sure that I could get work, and I live in the North West.

5 years ago I finally got a place in my industry by setting up myself, I suffered during the recession so worked a crap job again, and now I am starting up again.

So don't assume anything, ok pal?

Fair play to you. You've done well for yourself. I've never had to claim benefits neither as it happens though I think thats as much cos I was lucky as it is cos I've worked hard.

But you do seem to think that people who aren't working are doing that by choice, which is all I said. I'm not saying that what you do think but if you don't then why did you ask if the reason people are unemployed is becasue they're lazy? If you understand that some unemployed are just unlucky why do you need to ask that?

If you understand that sometimes you just can't do it all on your own no matter how hard you try becasue you haven't got the breaks then why say this I don't buy any of this we can't do anything about it. Majority of self-made millionairres have done it from rags to riches, through hard work, ambition and taking initiative. ?

All I said was that you were giving the impression of someone who thinks there is a choice between being on benefits and having a job and if you don't work its because you've chosen not too. And you were giving that impression.

If thats a wrong impression I apologise. Do you think that some people on benefits are just unlucky and are trying their hardest to get a job?

No I don't. Where have I said that I think people are too lazy to work? Where, tell me where that was said.

Or you can do yourself a favour and not sit on the coat tails of our regular jokers and have a valued opinion.

In Post 76 you said Are scousers lazy? Are people on benefits because they simply can't be arsed? And that they are better off on benefits?

Like I said above if you don't think that theres a link between lazyness and beign uneployed then why did you ask if the reason people are unemployed is because they're lazy? If you understand that some unemployed are just unlucky why do you need to ask that?
 
I have to say, it really doesn't make any difference to me anything which got announced in this budget.

Pretty much like every other budget really.

Well yeah it was a question. You answered it. I wasn't saying I think, I was asking Are they. See what I mean? There is this stigma and I was asking what people felt about that.

Who's saying its the end of the world? I said before that I dont trust them because theyve had us before. Ive seen poverty in this city. Kids that dont have decent shoes for school. Dads goin out graftin to feed them. Kids with tatty clothes and families with not a lot. Sounds like Dickens doesnt it? am talkin about this place not so many yrs ago. Ive been there mate and and as far as am concerned this government spells trouble for us again. Never trust a dog thats bit you before right? Might be good for others but all am saying is am not happy and to repeat myself i dont trust them.

Well what I find strange is this government has never run the country before. Also the government before Labour, well they pretty much behaved just like the Conservative party.

The country are in [Poor language removed] loads of debt from a Labour government, they need to get out of that debt for the good of the country, it's not all about Liverpool.

So cuts needed to be made, and a rise in VAT also have to be made. For the good of the country.

Not buying your 1800's style view of Liverpool, sorry.
