I haven't said anything - I am just asking a question. For **** sake, there must be a reason why there are so many people on benefits. It can't be because there just isn't any jobs at all.

And Goat I worked because I want a career, I started my own business because I couldn't get work in the industry - that's initiative, nothing wrong with initiative.

we face the wrong way. as a port joining the EC and less trading with the west didn't help us. the manufacturing decline that thatcher helped hurt too. government public sector jobs have helped but they never replace mass jobs.

my twopence anyway.

I dont work cos I got given custody of my 3 School age children.

What do I do Mr Ghost Sir?

That was your choice mate to not work, and looking after kids is admirable. Not calling you lazy by the way, not calling anyone lazy. Just wanted to know why Liverpool is hit the most over anyone else.

Are there more people on benefits in Merseyside than anywhere else? Or are you going along with an anti scouse stereotype? None of my friends or family are on benefits, weird that.

Regarding the starting your own business thing, that's dependent on what your occupation is. You can start your own business for a relatively low initial cost where the majority can't.

It's not so easy to get work sometimes mate, I know a few people who are struggling right now.

Have to watch what I say here lad, sitting on 2 red cards.

Might miss the rest of the competition.

Me too man.

Well there is an airport in Liverpool.

Where do you live by the way Ghost?

Because I heard that all the people there are lazy murderers who kill and eat children? I'm not from there myself so I can't agree or disagree. I just want your opinion on it.

Well you know I dont live in Liverpool mate, but its not really my choice not to work.

Find me a job that allows me to start at 9.30, finish at 2.30 and gives me 14 weeks paid holiday a year, then make it pay the bills.

My life isnt a matter of choice, its a matter of survival.

What?

Are you really saying that when a bunch of policies come in that will hit us and our families harder than people who live elsewhere we can't get upset? And that we should either launch an armed rebellion or shut up?

I mean there's exagerating your point for effect and then theres just plain insanity.

He's off his swede mate.

I know how hard or easy it is to get work. I did the [Poor language removed] job, my old man got made redundant 4 times in the 80s and 90s. I'm not sitting up here on my Ivory tower.

I don't buy any of this we can't do anything about it. Majority of self-made millionairres have done it from rags to riches, through hard work, ambition and taking initiative.

Im not gonna rip Ghost anymore, I just wanted to put across that not everybody who doesnt work is lazy, everybodys story is different, clearly there are workshy scumbags out there, but to tar the whole of Liverpool as work shy is just as silly as saying every England fan is a Nazi.

I give up with this country. I'll be gone in less than 5 years, i'm sick of being used as a cloth to wipe up other peoples mess.

Then why isn't everybody a millionaire? Because not everyone gets the breaks.

Nobodys saying we're helpless, we're saying the government have now made it that bit harder.
