On the BBC its 14 mins mate

I meant Ive seen a 10 minute version, Ive since seen the 14 minute version, nothing new really.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/world_cup_2010/8750303.stm

"We're fully behind the manager"

"Unacceptable the way we played against Algeria"

"I think Joe could change the fortunes, whether from the bench or starting"

"We want to prove people wrong and get the 3 points"

"I think everyone will have the fire in their belly"

"There is a little bit of boredom, but we need to stick together- Sod it we have one more group game and we need to win it"

"Is Fabio Capello the sort of manager that you can go to ask questions, yes we ask him before and we can do- if we feel we have to ask questions we will go to the manager"

" What do you think about tactics- thats a question that if I feel I have to I will ask the manager tonight"

"I wouldnt boo the team, I would be disappointed but wouldnt boo"

" We have the best fans in the world"

"How does Capello inspire you- The passion he shows is encouraging, he demands passion and that is why he can get frustrated"

"Do you expect a Frank exchange tonight? Whatever he does we will back him, if what is said upsets him or anyone else then so what (its for the good of the team)

Apart from the last one- there is nothing in it.

Should never have done it to begin with. If there isn't anything to it why do it?

We have chewed on it locally with my Chelsea buddies. Losing the captainsy put him in a rank and file position not one of authority.

Didn't he say something about he still feels he is captain even though he doesn't have the armband and that he is a natural leader. Seriously undermined St.Steven there

I haven't trawled through the whole thread but I read the first page.

Personal feelings about John Terry the man aside, thank **** somebody said what he did. The whole country knows what team we should be picking, Joe Cole on the left, Gerrard supporting Rooney, but for some reason Capello won't do it. If I was in his position I'd have spoken out too.

A team needs big characters and big personalities, not meek little sheep who shut up and do what they're told no matter what it is. And as for him 'putting his energy into his performance' what does that even mean? Firstly, he's a centre back, so he's supposed to maintain a position not run around, and second, who's ever been on the pitch and thought "[Poor language removed] I'm knackered, I wish I hadn't used all that energy giving a controversial interview"?

The rest of the gutless bastards should have spoken out too.

Sounds like the French to me. You have to have someone with authority if not you are doomed to failure. You can't have eleven individual opinions and no cohesiveness.

But as a fan I have questioned Capello on player selection. But he has the pedigree and knows better than I what to do.

Or it sounds like England in 1990. A good manager listens to his players. Capello's achievements came at club level where is able to control every aspect. This isn't the case at international level. This may sound a bit churlish but he won things with clubs that win things anyway. They won them before he arrived and they've won them after he's gone. Anyone who plays Gerrard on the left is getting something massively, massively wrong, no matter who he is or what he's done. Its never looked good or right and we've won qualifying games against very weak opposition, that includes Croatia. His one outstanding result, the 1-4 in Croatia, was due to a hat-trick from a player he didn't take to the World Cup.

Capello is blowing this World Cup big time, he's already ruined the first two weeks. How are we supposed to enjoy France being [Poor language removed] and Spain losing to Switzerland when we don't even know if we're going to qualify from the easiest group we've ever been drawn in?

If England win this World Cup playing Capello's formation and tactics then I will eat my words, otherwise no-one will ever convince me that he didn't get lots of things wrong over a long period of time way beyond when anyone else would have put them right. Neither will they convince me that John Terry wasn't 100% right to try to do something about it. John Terry cares whether England win the World Cup, I'm not convinced Capello gives a ****.

Good points I'm on your side on team selection and even the 23 travel party to this event. But consider Anelka & Evra they have put their national team on a death spiral and it isn't getting any better today. Terry is passionate but he did it in the wrong way. Now if we don't kick it up a notch there will be hell to pay one way or the other Wednesday. I always felt England needs a good English manager so communication problems would be left to a minimum and discipline is necessary when you are under the microscope on the World's stage.

I'd agree with you to the extent that Capello is on a steep learning curve himself in international football and is not above criticism this WC campaign. Your defence of the 'principled' Terry confuses me though. It's not like he hasn't got form in undermining managers is it? I think what's happened subsequent to 'the meeting' speaks volumes: he's a chief with no braves. He took a punt on grabbing effective power in the camp from the manager and the rest of the squad appear to have given him the bums rush. In short - Terry is fcuked from now on in. If they fail to qualify he'll be in the frame; if they qualify for the KO phase I think we'll see him frozen out by Capello.

Just like Evra was today. I never expect to see Anelka ever play for his country again. Evra better kiss and make up or he is royally done.

A prize tool of epic proportions: A grown man who cries buckets in public over football matters, like losing a CL Final and getting the arm band taken off him; cries like a ******* baby over getting arrested for assault; mocks American tourists over 9/11; carrying on with his ex-team mates bird.

John Terry, leader of men.

To be fair when he cried after losing the CL final I respected him! I'd cry if I missed the penalty that ultimatly lost us the CL. Shows how much it meant to him and how much he felt he'd let everyone down. And if I got arrested, I'd cry like a baba too! 'Nooooooo officer please dont hurt me, I didnt do it' etc etc

But everything else, he's a massive bell

Good player. But how much disruption can he do. Why can't he just put all this extra energy in his game and leave it there? Absolute disgrace to this team. Even Tiger Woods stepped down for a while this guy thinks it's business as usual. Thank God he got put in his place this time.

Well he made a mistake, quite a few this year to be honest. However he was acting in the interests of the team - it wasn't a selfish thing he said, he was only saying what most of the fans have been wanting to say, and let's be honest Gerrard isn't the best captain in the world is he? Can't talk on camera without scratching his ears or nose.

At least they are not the worse though, French have been outrageous.

Excellent analysis. I never doubted his enthusiasm at all no matter what I think of his personal life.

No way do I classify him with regards to Anelka and Evra either. They are the epitamy of big cry babies. He(Terry) wanted to let the air out but didn't do it in the right way. Now instead of concentrating in the game in hand the coaches and players have to stamp out the fires. I don't think this is to healthy as this matchup has to be given 100% attention with no side topics.
