Ronald Koeman discussion

He hasn't really sorted on issue, pace we were better against Lyon with Mirallas and Davies playing, they linked well with Vlasic to. But for league games he doesn't drop Rooney,Sigardsson and rarely Snides, them 3 have very little pace but always seem to play, even though Snides didnt today.

This is it if he changed it and gets anything positive he rips it up the next game. Totally clueless!!

I agree, I was thinking earlier that it's around two years to the day that the RS just ended Rodgers on a Sunday, after a 1-1 draw with us.

The only reasoning behind giving him the Chelsea game would possibly be that a new manager (in whatever capacity) would then avoid a probable defeat as his first game.

It's poor at the moment, the last thing I want to see is for it to turn nasty. He's unfortunately gone 360 and has us back where he started at a complete mess.

I never thought I'd ever be saying this, but it's worse than the last days of Martinez.

At least we had Lukaku then, so you knew that there was always the possibility he'd pull it out of the bag for you.

Now, there's just nothing at all anywhere on the pitch.

We can see it, the press can see it, the pundits can see it, but it appears that Mosh and co are the only ones who can't.

We're still a small time club, with a small time mentality.

This is true, but why are we set up as if we have Giroud up top mate?

We didn't get that striker Koeman wanted, so he should be changing our style accordingly. :coffee:

This.

Is the man incapable of adapting? What if we did sign Giroud and he got a long term injury? That’s his one and only plan screwed.

Koeman’s lack of ability to adapt the team to circumstances is his downfall.

Hold on. Under Martinez we had Lukaku and were dire, now we don’t have Lukaku and we are still dire, logically that makes Koeman slightly better than Martinez......

Hate Everton rather than just Koeman at the moment. They’ve proper sold him down the river not getting a striker. Obviously he should still be doing better tactically etc but they’ve left him short in key areas. Walsh takes as much of the blame as Koeman for me. No wide players signed, no full backs signed, no main striker signed. Then you’ve got Kenwright still somehow heavily involved.

Club is rotten and needs a major overhaul.

I honestly thought the board would have learnt from the Martinez experience. They also messed up letting Moyes stay on after he said he would take the Utd job, as if he really had interest here then.

" we had lukaku then " it's the biggest loss a side can have or a side WE can have.

100% this but it will never ever happen until kenwright leaves.

We weren't just beaten today. We were outclassed.

Another day that could've been double figures they had that many chances. Only positives were Vlasic's couple of moments and Pickford making 100 saves.

If we were building towards something it would be acceptable, but I don't have a clue what style Ronald's trying to get us playing. There's no identity at all. I'd say this all feels as bad as Martinez's last season.

He has to go, and we have to bring in someone that will get us playing some proper football. There has to be someone out there who can get us playing some good football without conceding a stupid amount of goals.

Who that'll be I have no idea. Tuchel? Ancelotti? Throw some money around and get the type of manager that will actually get us somewhere.

Hiring the right man is down to the board, just like sacking the wrong man is.

Nevermind Wednesday as I've written that off but I still feel with a new man in charge we could get a result in Lyon and give us a fighting chance of still getting through the group.

We just look so unorganized and unprofessional under Koeman and that has to be down to him. It really does look like we don't work on anything during the week.

Today's tactics were simply sit as deep as you can and hope for the best. There was nothing more to it than that, like what you do with a school team where you shout "who wants to play centre mid" and someone pipes up "I'll give it a go".

To get him out we need to turn the heat up on Moshiri

Let's see how long he backs koeman then

When have Everton fans ever done this? We meekly accept stuff that has other clubs in open revolt. The RS has a plane for Rodgers to go the season after he’d almost won them the title. We were piping down people calling for Martinez to go even after three seasons. The board take advantage of the general goof nature of Everton fans. They would have been hounded out at most clubs.
