Crowd Trouble

Every time there's a set of midweek European fixtures innocent fans are getting their heads caved in around the cities where the game is played.

Split away is one example after some fans were taken to hospital by ambulance after being randomly attacked. Though that was relatively minor compared to some other games.

Yet we have one ballbag PUSHING their keeper and it makes headlines around the world!! Even worse, some of our own fans are lapping it all up by claiming a deep sense of shame.

"Embarrassed to call myself a blue" "social services need to pay him a visit" "scum like that aren't real supporters" etc. etc.

Cry me a river ffs.... Nobody got hurt. Nobody was gonna get hurt. It just made for some unpleasant pictures and headlines.

The lad deservedly got his ban (he has no excuses). But let's see the media reaction in 2 weeks time after some blues are randomly attacked while having a quiet drink around Lyon.

Absolutely spot on. Before we played Kiev in 2015, these were the scenes/events...

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/feb/27/crowd-trouble-dynamo-kiev-europa-league-guingamp

"Dynamo Kyiv’s Europa League match with Guingamp had to be halted 15 minutes from the end because of crowd trouble.

The home side were 2-0 up and heading into the last 16 3-2 on aggregate when a group of masked fans fought their way past stewards in a bid to attack supporters of the tiny French club.

The referee suspended the match and the away fans were forced to leave the stadium, before a number of Kyiv supporters began fighting among themselves.

The Kyiv goalkeeper, Oleksandr Shovkovskiy, went into the crowd to try to persuade them to halt the violence, but ended up trying to separate brawling fans and protect a steward who had been knocked to the floor."

A pathetic scuffle between a few players took place in front of the Gwladys Street to which one single fan showed himself up by getting at best, a slap in, and loads on here and on Social Media are crying about how ashamed they are to support the club lol.

We are getting hammered when it was a minor incident in comparison to how it used to be.

"In the middle of August 1985, Everton fans travelling on a late night Holyhead to Euston express train caused chaos as passengers, including foreign tourists, were threatened and assaulted. One Everton fan was seen running through carriages brandishing a knife and several thefts of luggage occurred."

Our hooliganism firm, County Road cutters, were notorious, but our last real hooliganism incident was the 2005 game against United.

We were a horrible lot, the racist tag often got bandied about by travelling players, but we have definitely cleaned up our act and now do a lot of good work in the community.

What, your social media integrity?

Don't think anyone disputes that it was wrong and he deserves his ban. But you keep judging us on what people are saying and I'll judge us in the context of what actually happened.
I’m referring to the integrity that this great club used to have. We’re no better than the RS these days.

The fans have paid their money at the gate mate. They can say what they want. It’s their right!
You've lost me.

We had a horrible reputation for racism, but fans can say what they want?

Hooliganism and racism was rampant in our club (I'm speaking from the 1970s on here, pre that I have no idea). We were a disgrace. We have cleaned up our act in the last decade or so. That incident last night was a minor one as far as I'm concerned. One lone idiot.
