The time hath come, Ronald. Show us what you're made of.

Defence: Coleman(when fit), Williams and Jags or Keane and Jags, Bainsey.

Midfield: Bolasie, Lennon ( both together or alternatively); Sigurdson or Ross (I’d make him wanna play for us); with Gueye and/or Mo (yes, Besic) and/or McCarthy and/or Davies - I’d even give Jonjo a go as he’s got the desire many haven’t.

Schneiderlin and Klassen, respectfully, can do one as it’s going to get nasty.

And, of course, the Omni-present Rooney playing just off - I’d decide whereabouts ‘just off’ on an ad hoc basis.

Mori (our Saviour): Centre forward.

Instructions to midfielders apart from Gylfi, Ross and Rooney: Take no prisoners!

That said: Plenty of pressing and at least five tackles each (including Pickford).

Note to wingers: You don’t need to waste time getting to the byline, just lift it into the box - keep the other side busy.

Note to sexy-football loving supporters:

We haven’t earned the right to play football yet, this season.

This won’t be pleasant to watch, and man to man marking will pretty much kill the game. However, our passion and drive will rekindle the crowds and make sides terrified of coming to Goodison and even more so when we play away ( the consequently dire performances of their over paid shrinking violets will cause the home fans to riot!).

And of course, the inevitable eclectic mix of nil-nil draws and 2-1 wins, will serve to steady the ship, until we enjoy better times again.

If you’re reading this, Ronald, feel free to plagiarise.

Come back Barry Horne.

I think you've cracked it mate.

If you're going to the game tonight, can you please fold your team sheet into a paper airplane and fire it at Moonhead after their second goal goes in ?.

Mori up top? [Poor language removed] Mori!!! This was meant to be the year we broke into the 'top6' nowwe are discussing playing a defender up front...samba at blackburn or James at city come to mind..this is farcical

To the people demanding he be sacked, may I ask why?

What good will sacking him do? Its his team and they are his players, surely he should be given the season to see things out?

Maybe review things at Christmas will be the plan from up above I think.

Well performances might improve for a start.People might enjoy going to the football again.I suppose we should give him to christmas at least. But if we are out of europe and still near the relegation zone by the end of December. That will be a totally unacceptable scenario. To be honest with you mate i fear the longer we keep Koeman, the worse the damage will get imo.

Look clearly we need some fresh eyes on things, but Koeman ALWAYS has slumps, he had them at Saints and he had 1 here last season, the football is turgid, every single player looks like they have never kicked a ball before, its not great, but performances are a minor issue for me, results are what matter and we simply arent getting any, so im not saying everything is super.

Clearly if we get nothing from the next 5 games then my stance might change, but currently I see little value in sacking the manager.

We might get a manager who plays a balanced team for once, I’m willing to give someone else a chance as this chap isn’t learning.

Is that good enough? Genuinely here mate, are you happy to have a manager at our club who will go through slumps and we drop points?

Personally I don't see that as good enough. Succesful teams don't have slumps, they are consistent throughout. If this is our slump this season under koeman then there is a realistic chance we go out of 2 competitions in the process. Is that good enough? As fans we should expect more for a manager who is tasked to bring success to the club.

It is basically accepting the team will struggle because of the manager.

And yet from that extremely bleak picture you paint of Koeman past as well as Koeman present there seems even less value in hanging on to such a manager.

A manager whom “ALWAYS” has lengthy slumps every single season is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard to a team with even a modicum of ambition.

Let the bugger go and have his now annual slump elsewhere.

I make you right about him being in no imminent danger though.....like your good self, I feel the powers that be have pretty much written off this season already and are only concerned with EPL survival.

So nowt short of an Atalanta style debacle will jeopardise his position tonight.

And even that probably wouldn’t see him chucked out.

IMO he is safe until Watford come to town, at the very earliest.

Im not saying retain him at the end of the season, judge him on the season, if we dont finish 7th or higher we have regressed, in that case sack him.

I didnt want the clown in the first place, but I honestly see no value in sacking him mid season, unless we are still struggling for wins by Christmas.

The value as you put it in sacking him now would be a chance of actually getting somewhere this season. If we just accept him and write the season off in October then isn't that a waste of time for the fans? What's the point in caring about results if the season is over and you are struggling to score goals already never mind win?

At the end of the day every team should be going out and trying to win games. I'm not saying koeman isn't by any stretch, but do us fans believe it? That's all that matters at the end of the day, we believe we will go out and beat Burnley, Brighton, Lyon, arsenal etc but right now only the overly optimistic of the fans still hold onto that.

So the value in sacking him sooner rather than later will be essentially be having that belief back in the fan base, perhaps even belief on the pitch as well.
