Ronald Koeman discussion

I actually think this is worse than Smith, certainly worse than Martinez.
That is not to excuse either of them but the total lack of interest from Koeman combined with the systematic break up of the young, exciting players we had in the squad. His bizarre use of the U23's and shoehorning in of paceless midfielders and ultimately HORRENDOUS cup results (this is the killer for me. We have failed to beat Leicester reserves, lower league cloggers Norwich and some Cypriot part timers at Goodison. Disgusting).

He has fallen into Kendall-98 / Mike Walker level of bad and that is after spending a fortune in the Summer.

He doesn't even look bothered, speaking about the club as if he is outside looking in through the window.

GET HIM BINNED!

Great post mate.A lot of home truths for people in that post. This season so far is kind of like the Walter Smith era, without a fat Gaza running around the place.

I think he is safe for a while yet

Depends on the nature of the results I reckon, not strictly the outcomes.

Another loss in which we look completely out of sorts and lucky not to lose by more goals than we deserve and I think he’ll be gone before Arsenal.

That said we lose the next 3/4 then I think he’s defo gone.

Please just win games, Everton. I don’t care who the duck is in charge just win ffs!!!!

Regressed from what? Where's your benchmark?

So from when Ronald took over until now you believe we haven’t gone backward?

All summer I moaned that we were making mistake after mistake and now surely you’ve seen that’s correct. I find it hard to believe you can defend the club at present

He will never resign, that means giving up his wedge which has still some time to go. He will have to be sacked and then he will claim the wages unpaid. For him it is win, win for the club lose, lose.

I'm afraid if you think a Billionaire businessman hasn't got a clause in his managers contract that avoids paying him significant sums for perceived failure you're mighty mistaken. After Bobby relieving him of £10M-12M big ones it ain't happening again.

Ha! Del Boy currently running riot for Barca in the CL....an assist already ...but not good enough for Everton. Mind you Barca were always going to take him back.

A player like deulofeu will always flourish more in a team like Barca were his sole jobs are to hug the touchline, get 1 on 1 and wait for Messi to slot sexy through balls.

I love Geri, couldn’t believe we got shut but it’s utter revisionism to say he didn’t have massive flaws to his game and fitness. He’ll even Martinez who loves his flair players binned him off in the end, like almost every manager has done. I’m sure he’s loving his time finally playing for Barca but they’ll replace him soon enough.

Running riot....what with one assist.
He can't even run without doubling over like an asmathic teenager never mind riot.

The writing was on the wall for Roberto Martinez for a few weeks before he left because the players no longer seemed to want to play for him.

I have not seen that yet with RK. Poor performances , yes.... not knowing how to improve things, yes.... but the effort to play for the manager seems to be there still and with each game that is what I am looking for as much as results....attitude.

I think that is keeping him in his job at present.
I think Bill Kenwright will be talking to Evertonians like Duncan and Rhino for their opinions as well and I think the advice is to give some more time... but, each poor result increases the pressure.

Come now TJ, how many games did we score 3 or more goals in in the 2nd half of the season at home? He made goodison enjoyable again and at the very, very least we were beating teams we should be beating.

I’m no Koeman fan, mate. Didn’t want him here in the first place but he must be given a fair amount of time and I don’t think we’re at the yet were we should sack him.

Just give the guy a chance to turn it around, mate. No guarantees he will but my point is there was enough there last season to suggest we could kick on.

I'm with you....give him some time.

To be honest though if his wages are to be believed then you could say he's already being paid significantly whilst failing.

Is right Tony! Fight the good fight with me brother, even if the the fat Dutch Moonhead doesn’t deserve it!
Ok, humour me. Say we lose the next 3, means we are out of 2 cups and in probably bottom 3. "Give him time". How much time before you can say "yep, he's a failure"?

88% here think he is already. I'm not saying all are saying it for the right reasons, but that's what it is.

I’ve said a few times, the rest of this month will be the real test of his mettle. Backs against the wall, chips are down with 3 big games to turn things round. If we lose the next 3, namely the 2 cup games then yes I think he’ll have to go.
