Ronald Koeman discussion

Big weekend for the lad, pressure is on. It's his team, had plenty of time to prepare for the game, show us why you should be the manager of our team. It's not about the millions he earns in salary, it's not about the player he used to be, it's about him and his responsibilities as manager of Everton FC.

When it ain't going great, it's tough, but can he get a performance on the pitch that shows he deserves the position he holds? Not sure myself, but I ain't paid £6m a year. Hope we see a team performance on Sunday that says he has listened, can inspire and that first eleven he chooses believe in him and his ideas. If not, you're time here has come and gone - for many on here you're already done. Over to you Ron.

Ps - a 0 - 3 win helps.

"It’s for everybody who starts to be a team and get a good result. In that team there are experienced players who can deal with more pressure." RK's gonna start on Sunday with Rooney and Morgan and probably play Gylfi out of position to accommodate Rooney.
He simply doesn't learn. The one positive for me is that we have the best crop of 19/20 yo's I've ever seen. Perhaps no superstar like a teenage Rooney but several who have the potential to be Premiership level. Davies, DCL, Holgate, Kenny, Lookman, Vlasic and next season Onyekuru and Dowell. Hopefully at least half will make it.
Every game that passes I lose more confidence that RK is the man to develop their potential. He's taken the Lukaku/Stones money and overpaid largely for players who have 2/3 seasons left at the top level due to their age. He feels he has to justify that expenditure so plays them regardless of form i.e. Morgan. Players in better form like Davies therefore have their progress unfairly impeded which must be bad for their morale.
His stubbornness, like that of his predecessor, may well be what leads to his departure. If it happens soon I'll bet several of those young players will be secretly relieved.

I live in the Canary Islands, my best mate is a guardia civil from Valencia, he hates Booman, and tells me that what is happening now at Goodison, is almost exactly the same as what happened there, he fell out with all the players and drove the likes of Mata and Silva out. I was really pleased when Booman got the job, but, probably because I remember him as a player.
Good players do not necessarily make good coaches, Alan Ball for example
