No Plan B -- he hasn't even got a Plan A.

There are grave worries within the Club that the dislike of the guy is now so deep amongst the playing staff, young and old, that a significant turn round in fortunes is a non-starter. The dislike is on account not only of his tactical ineptitude, his treatment of individual players and his reluctance to mine the gold nuggets currently in the U23s, but also of his deep-rooted arrogance. Not a great mix to have in your manager is it?

The Koeman-type approach to man-management is fine so long as it's successful. Catterick was hardly popular amongst the players. But he was respected by them, and his methods got results. But Koeman isn't and his methods don't.

I know the point he's making but in the current context I think it's rubbish. He's already said he didn't have the team prepared for Atalanta. Why is that? The only answer is because he didn't spend sufficient time preparing them.

Same with our playing 'style', whatever he's trying to achieve the players don't seem to be able to implement it. So you would think that more time spent on the training pitch working on this without the pressure of a game at the weekend would be beneficial. You could even give them a long weekend off for a mini break.

The signals this sends are just not good. What it looks like is that the manager isn't really bothered and is off on a jolly at the first opportunity.

1. Gueye
2. Pickford
3. Keane
4. Vlasic
5. Sigurdsson
6. Davies
7. Lookman
8. Kenny
9. Klaassen
10. Stekelenburg
11. Besic
12. Mirallas
13. Williams
14.MCcARTHY
15. DCL

So, where you've got nine players from I'm not sure?

That's half the squad away but more important, 11/12 players who all seem to have a pretty good chance of being involved in the next games.

We're left with...

1. Rooney
2. Baines
3. Jagielka
4. Martina
5. Schneiderlin
6. Niasse

Jagielka is just recovering from an injury. Rooney and Baines have looked rather leggy...

It's better that those players get 5-6 days real rest, and then are back in training full tilt come Monday, surely, for a game the coming Sunday, with the international players back in a few days after.

Runs last season where we had 7 points out of 27 points available and finished the season with 4 points out of available 15

Currently on another bad run of 7 points from a possible 21

3 really bad patches of form for a prolonged period under his tenure and a dreadful away record. I think he's going to find it difficult to turn this around i really do and I think its just a matter of when not if it happens.

Results can change a lot of things so who knows, maybe it all clicks into place from Brighton onwards but none of us can say we've seen any small signs of anything positive to cling to which would make me think better performances and results are just around the corner

Just to compare as well in Bobertos swansong season we won 5 away, drawn 7 and lost 6 ( 4 of which were the last 4 away matches )

Season before that we won 5, drawn 3 and lost 10 and in his first season we won 8, drawn 5 and lost 5

So away form looks like this

2013/14 season 29 points away
2014/15 season 18 points away
2015/16 season 22 points away
2016/17 season 17 points away

Basically apart from Bobertos first season, we've been pretty turd away from home and Koeman hasn't really been able to rectify this whatsoever.

I've had far too much time on my hands today but just thought it might make interesting reading to compare our current managers and last managers away record

For what it's worth Moyes record was

2012/13 - 20 points ( 4 wins, 8 draws and 6 defeats )
2011/12 - 22 points ( 5 wins, 7 draws and 6 defeats )

We basically used to draw far too many games under Moyes away from home.

9 was just a guess based on last month. I figured you'd have more time on your hands to look this stuff up than I have :)
You've missed off Lennon, Ramirez, Holgate, Robles from your list of players available. My point about this still remains valid, if you don't think this is important that's up to you. For me the whole thing is symptomatic of Koeman's approach and is one of the reasons why'll he'll never be a top manager.

Out of all his many expensive signings I am struggling to think of any except maybe Pickford for whom we could pick up more than fifty percent of what we paid. He's blown about 75m which we wont see again (not including the fire sale for Barkley).
An unmitigated disaster who is now just waiting for the bullet. Thank god he didn't manage to buy Giroud, another huge loss buster

Reading those stats makes me wish Bobby had a bit of defensive nous about him.

Bobby and Everton were almost awesome together :(
