unbelievable the amount of people who despite reading a statement to the contrary continue to delude themselves that Usmanov is buying into Everton, totally mad, has it occurred to you that Fat Alisher actually thinks Moshiri is a clueless tit when it comes to football and running a football club and he has actually pulled a right stroke by getting him as far away from Arsenal as possible.Based on what we have seen of this Moshiri so far there is no doubt he hasnt got a clue when it comes to anything football related.......however continue to put your own spin on it.
Great theory, given neither of them had any say in the running of Arsenal as their stakeholding was inert.

Your posts give me eye aids

clearly there was a reason Moshiri never had any say in the running of Arsenal, he is a tit if you are in any doubt listen again to his Jim white interviews and the unexpected losses speech. however you keep telling yourself Alisher is coming!

Erm ....the reason Moshiri had no say in running Arsenal is because like Usmanov he was a minority shareholder and was not on the board. Imagine you had 1 share in Everton , it wouldn't give you the right to have a say in running the club(thank god). Complex stuff I know, but stick with it you'll get there(probably).

One thing I will say on all this is that if it ever came to pass (Usmanov here) then it would be an act of quite extraordinary loyalty and, pardon the soviet-era pun here, comradeship by Moshiri towards Usmanov. Not to mention a brilliant execution of strategy and business engineering to pull it off.

And that too, is what makes me skeptical. I don't see Usmanov coming to knock his trusted friend and advisor off his perch here. Moshiri would be back in the mould of Usmanov's fixer and lackey. The man must surely have his own professional pride and independent ambition.

Aside from the obvious impact on Everton, it is interesting if not fanciful to speculate. Usmanov buys in and what then? Moshiri tells Jim White it was an offer too good to refuse? He becomes Chairman I assume and finally the mass purge begins at GP/FF to strains of Farhad's laughter. At least we would be rid of Boys Pen Bill and Suntan Bob.

Dreams dreams dreams.

If Usmanov comes to Everton it wont be 'to knock his trusted friend and advisor off his perch.' It would have been the strategy all along and no doubt involved Moshiri and the stadium/Liverpool waters incentive.

These two are close partners, they will have discussed the Everton opportunity and plans for Usmanov (if any).
