I'm trying to remember what made Southampton so good that RK was seen as the answer.
Two pacy wing backs, solid CBs, Tadic creating chances for the striker who's name escapes me. It wasn't rocket science anyway and they didn't have half our money.

Bertrand, cedric, van dijk, Tadic, Redmond, Pelle, Long, Clyne and all the other players that the RS signed.

thing is he saw us and him being here as that as well - stepping stone, he was always with his personality - doing a job here with no connection really made or wanted by him it appears, to be on thin ice, succeed - yes the fans will back you, but start struggling and their is no love for him amongst the supporters - and thats of his own making really.

Same way no one really shed tears at certain players leaving - because they never really got the club - and it was just a means to an end.

He'll never get a better job than Everton. He'll revert to Micky mouse leagues and golf.

Tadic really isn’t all that. But I get your point.

I don't really enjoy typing this but the alarm bells are ringing here

We gave Martinez too long before we sacked him, that is at the back of my mind

From where I sit, I don't think you are allowed to spend the kind of money we did in the summer and win 2 games in 10

If we don't sack him during the international break (when it may be convenient, giving us time to sort out a successor either temporary or permanent), I think we should be marking a very clear line in the sand as far as expected improvement goes within a given timescale, and that timescale should be relatively short.

Agree here mate - a reasoned way of putting it.

Basically, after fuming yesterday, I've slept on things. Making a call in the heat of the moment is never a good thing and I doubt Moshiri will do that.

That being said, now seems like as good a time as any for him to go.

Pellè - that's the man. He was good. I see he's in China now for huge money.
I don't suppose he'd be bothered to come and help out his old boss in January.
Not that Koe is likely to be here then.

Everton are interested in appointing Walter Mazzarri as their new manager, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
It has been reported that the Toffees made contact with the former Napoli head coach immediately after their 1-0 defeat to Burnley at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

A meeting could take place in the coming days, with Mazzarri “intrigued” by the prospect of working in the Premier League again, according to the report.

Is he not a dull defensive manager? Can't remember

Edit: No, I'm thinking of somebody else.

I've never forgiven him for selling Geri, but was delighted he proved me wrong to an extent last season.

But can anyone actually see us getting better? It's not beyond the imagination that he could take us down.

In koeman's defence, he is being reactive.people called for niasse to be given a chance and he was. People then wanted him starting and he did. Same instance with Kenny. People wanted holgate to start. They wanted Rooney dropped, two up front, klaassen dropped, Davies to start vlasic to start. He answered every call that fans thought would help. And that's just this week alone! But nothing worked

Yup, we were looking good in that 4-4-2 right up to Burnley scoring
