Not a bad 11 but we really don't need two DMs. I'd have Klaassen and Lookman in for Morgan and Rooney. We'd play much better football with them instead.

Team sheet has Morgan sitting in the middle.

My guess is that it'll be more like one DM, Gana and Davies working with each back, Siggy sitting in the middle a bit more advanced and HOPEFULLY Sandro and Rooney forming a good partnership up top.

Makes no difference where we play Rooney he drops deep anyway, even Sandro is guilty of it. Just need to tell Sandro to stay up.

I think Sandro always drifts wide but that is the player we bought, not something he has picked up in L4.

Rooney must be told to stay up or it negates any influence Sigurdsson has on this game. Apart from free-kicks.

The 2 DMs should allow Baines the freedom to get up the left but my doubt is to whether his legs will allow him to do it.

2 DM's hasn't allowed Baines to get up the left for about three years. He isn't good enough to work the left wing on his own. He doesn't have the power or pace needed.

I'd take that. We just need to be faster and better with our play going forward than we've been all season.

I still think Rooney would make a good central mid alongside Gueye. His vision by far superior to anyone else's. He always drops to receive the ball anyway, and it would free a space further up the pitch to play someone like Lookman.

I don't think Rooney can help it now though, he just naturally drops looking for the ball.
Davies was ahead of him most of United game.

Indeed. When he was injured at the start of Martinez's second year and Galloway replaced him it was really noticeable how much more success came down that side. Baines should never have got his place back as easily as he did.

Sandro has to turn it on tonight. Here hoping for a budding partnership between him and Rooney. I expect the second half we will see Vlasic for a DM to kick start us if we are dreary tonight early.
