But the thing is, he played 37 games in 2015/16 and 37 games in 2014/15. It was only last season where he was consistently "injured" for the majority of it. He is what he is, a proper bang average footballer.
In a career full of nothing he had one good season.

There is nothing, all he can do is pass sideways. On top of that, in that spineless team of cowards Martinez assembled, he was one of the most mentally feeble of the lot. Did absolutely nothing to stand up and be counted when the chips were down and we were struggling, just blended into the background.

From what I can remember from his first season he ran about a lot, put himself about in a few challenges and made the grand total of 0 forward passes.
Another player that just because he ran about a bit was lauded and considered “our best player” by many Everton fans.
