I can forgive him having a bad game, but he just has no game so far at all. He has less touches and is less involved than every other player on the pitch, in every game he plays. I am sure he will come good eventually but I just don't understand why it passes him by so much. I would rather he had more of the ball and even made mistakes than not get the ball at all. The most frustrating thing is the fact that when he does have touches, they all seem to be nice passes or nice little one two's.

Koeman is clearly playing him more to try and get him up to speed quicker, but I don't think he should be playing over Davies at the moment.

Definitely shouldn't be ahead of Tom, but I could say that about the whole team lol he's offering far more than about 5 of them combined currently!

Think Rooney was a surprise they decided to get when he became available and they didn't alter plans adjusting for bringing him in, thus we end up overloaded and with three big names its gonna be hard to drop one, bloody mess really.

Strange one isn't it mate, once Klassen and Rooney were in I would have thought they might have shelved Gylfi.

tbh from what I've seen I don't see Klassen as a number 10, though I'm unsure if he would cope in a midfield of 2. I'd rather have Rooney high up the pitch but have someone right up alongside him and Gylfi, well I'm not sure if Ronald is doing him any favours currently having him stuck out the left a lot where he just isn't get involved enough. We need a lot more from him and I'm a big fan of his. It's a big step up from Swansea to Everton so hopefully he will settle down

I guess we just have a lot of players still trying to bed in and that causes a lot if the disjointed performances becsuse it only takes 3 players to not be on it and it affects everything

Praise the Lord for Oumar!!!

He'll improve more than anyone else in the side with familiarity.

Will benefit hugely when he understands the players around him, and with runners/movement that will come with confidence/results.
Runners is the big one.

When we play
Sig
Rooney
DCL
Schneiderlin
Gueye
Klaassen

Every single one of them wants it to feet. We need players like Davies and, dare I say it, Niasse around him who will 'break the lines'

Totally agree with this. Coleman coming back in will be a massive plus for him aswell as he adds another attacking dimension to our play. I think we really did miss out on that Kolasinac who ended up at Arsenal as he seems to be exactly like Baines was in his prime although probably a bit more aggressive defensively and would have helped a lot with our lack of pace and width.

Phil Neville played over 240 games for us and some are writing off Klaasen after a handful of matches? lol

I like the lad, not happening for him at the moment, but I've seen enough glimpses of what he can do to have faith that he'll come good with time! :)

To be fair, we could have written Neville off as a tremendous grass snake after about 5 games and been just as right 245 games later

Absolute Twitter love-in for Klassen today. Has he saved a puppy from a burning house in the past 24hrs, or something?

He may very well come good (not confident) but so far he's been really poor, has no influence on games. May not be all his fault, but needs to do better.

UMMM HELLO -
are we writing someone off after 2 months?
Give him a few months for gods sake. He's in a developing team and being asked to -play out of position
he was captain and star of Ajax, and now he's playing with Rooney and Gylfi who are all stars as well and the main men.

He'll be boss once the formation/player positions are sorted out. Klaassen along with Siggy is being destroyed by the insistence on playing three No.10s and having no runners and/or being played out of position.

Klaassen isn't a number 10

That said, even with that being the case, I think we are going to really struggle to get Klaassen, Rooney and Sigurdsson in the same team together in a system which works - Klaassen is more of a number 8, He'd be much better-suited in a 433 with Schneiderlin holding and he and Davies being more advanced of him. In that shape midfield, I don't see how you fit in both Sigurdsson and Rooney too, unless you play a midfield diamond with Rooney as one of two strikers, perhaps alongside DCL

It's a difficult system to get right though, as by definition, all of the width comes from the full backs. Not that that's really any different to our current predicament though...

....funny you should say that...
