kiss the crest

Player Valuation: £35m
Before anyone says this is knee jerk reaction to today's match, just hear me out.

The way we play and set up without any striker who can put the ball in the net, a striker who can't hold the ball up, to bring others into play, not to mention who lacks pace.

When we attack there maybe one possibly two players in the box when the ball comes in and that's only if we get that far up the pitch.
Because we don't have a proper striker and don't have hardly any shots per match, we just won't score and team who struggle to score go down.

To make it worse the players out on the pitch, the fans in the crowd know that if we concede a goal we will struggle.

I will probably get shot down again like I did in my last post way back in July
IS ANYONE ELSE WORRIED

I'm confused, did I miss something? How can it be a knee jerk reaction to something that hasn't happened yet? I fully expect a loss, and won't change much of what I think about the season. Annoyed, yes... really worried? I'm not there yet. But I can see the cause for concern after the past 3 matches.

GoT should start a flat earth society. Tbf, I would join. The way we are playing is a shambles.

Mate after today's game it will be bedlam in here Koeman out etc, then we will play awful wed, maybe scrape a 1-0 win. Then after Bournemouth next week it will start to hit home. This team is in trouble

Selling your best striker, kone and Valencia and not replacing them is a shambles.

I mentioned the other two because they would be a decent option right now

A good many got carried away in the euphoria of our early transfer activity. Equally some called it correct when stating without a replacement for Rom we would struggle, and that's the stage we're at. Align that issue to the horrendous run of fixtures and where we this morning is probably a true reflection of our standing.
What we should be worried about is our manager's seeming inability to get the team playing to their strengths.
After today two home league games against Bournemouth and Burnley on paper represent an opportunity to get the season back on track.
I will wait until after those to see whether we truly have cause to worry.

...I think these issues are being discussed in numerous other threads.
Yes.

There is a remarkably similar thread by the same member here;https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/is-anyone-else-worried.97831/page-32#post-5765145

To avoid duplication it's now closed.

For the record I agree with this;
Do you not remember the end of the Brown Shoes era?

Do you not remember how dreadful we were in October/November last season?

We have so many new faces that need to gel. Yes, we miss Rom's goals. But we still have enough firepower to have a go. I expect a better performance on Sunday, although United will be very difficult to break down. For a new-ish squad like we have, this really was a horrible run of games to start the season.

Oh, oh, oh say can you see, if we'll get champions league?

Isn't rooney like one of the best strikers of all time. Can we not utilise him in a system that is set up for him to shoot?

We have played Stoke and thereafter three of the very best teams in the league. We are poor but get some perspective, if we haven't won a few games by mid November then you may have a point.

I would like Koeman turfed out right now and think we are godawful at the moment, but this is a hideously silly post. Talking of relegation form after 4 games?!?!
