Klarsen is a no. 10; Rooney is a no. 10; The Sig is a no. 10 ; Sandro is a no. 10.

Sandro was a bargain, Rooney was a free and a possible transforming transfer, Klarsen was one that could be filed
under Future Star. But then why blow 45 million on Siggi when his skills are replicated by Rooney?

And especially when no big beast of a no. 9 had been signed, we had no pacy wingers and are crying out for two top attacking full backs?

Why sign Cuco when you have Holgate and Kenny?

I thought Walsh was going to have a top window based on the early signings but it has turned out badly. The team is lacking height, width, athleticism, pace, ingenuity in midfield despite having 10 midfielders, and above all - a plan, a way of playing.

We pinned hopes on a slow 30yr old from Arsenal. Jesus

And a bench warmer to boot...

First off need to dispel the myth that Rooney cost nothing. There may not have been any fee between the two clubs but the rumoured signing on fee was in excess of £8 million.

For me the whole window smacks of scattergun approach.

Walsh signed some decent finds whilst at Leicester but was him that identified the players? I suspect the answer is no as player identication probably was more to do with the scouting network. Walsh must have been rubbing his hands with glee but as you can guess I am far from convinced

I am far from convinced that going forward there will be the level of improvement from this group some are expecting. As Roy says so of the really basic must haves in the PL is clearly missing something that going forward will be a point of focus by the opposition. You need to put the first two results to one side for neither Pep or Hughes knew what to expect now others will see the obvious weaknesses.

As so many are making comment on the imminent loss of Rom was known by all way in advance of May yet for one reason or another that obvious whole was not filled. Giroud clearly didn't fancy a move to GP and Theron lies an issue going forward for you somehow have to attract top players to Liverpool and I am not talking about getting players in from Swansea, Sunderland or indeed Burnley

I know I sound doom and gloom but I wonder if the blue tinted glasses are removed from the majority do people still see even at this early stage a top 6 for top 4 is a mile away

So weird that we signed sigurdsson for 45m and failed to replace Lukaku. How could they not see that the team wouldn't work without a striker.

Like the old adage says, if you have a reputation for getting up early, you can lie in bed until noon. That's the same with Walsh. Fell upon a couple of players and he's brilliant. I'd be more impressed with the guy who discovered Seamus Coleman
