Any potential signings today must be down to him.
Apparently Ronko is in Portugal playing golf.
Surprised me really, I thought the manager would be integral to convincing someone to sign and sell the club to the player.
Or am I just being a niave old fart who still thinks thats the way it's done?

Adrian Durham has been having a right go at Wenger...as per :).....because Arsene has absented himself from Arsenal HQ today.

Saying he can't understand how a manager would not be in the thick of it.

He never mentioned Koeman but it seems strange to me a manager isn't at the nerve centre on one of the busiest days of the season.

What it says to me is Koeman actually has no involvement past agreeing to the players Walsh goes after. He isn't needed for the actual signing

Indeed.

But stone me, you really would think the manager would want to be there to greet the player when he was signing on and things like that.

Yeah it is weird. I like Koeman but at times I just don't think he's the manager for this club. Not saying I'd sack him or anything like that
He just has a different unusual management style, which is quite refreshing. It seems to me he thinks everything through thoroughly first, our signings have shown that. Look at some of the other clubs just buying players for the sake of it (West Ham are prime examples)
