If in two summers and 3 windows, we can't get a half decent striker in that gives us atleast 10-15 goals a season then we need to question the board, Walsh and Koeman. Its no fume, its something we had ample time and money to address. All these excuses about "that one wasn't available" and "that one was expensive" is rubbish. You have Walsh, Mosh's money and Koeman's needs for the team to sort it out. No point in hurling these lame excuses after getting a panic striker in on the deadline....again!

That's point I'm trying to make. You "really go in" by making an offer. If its refused then you think if you wanna go again or look elsewhere but the player would know there was genuine interest.

Clubs I'm sure talk all the time,but the only times it's confirmed is when a deal is done (or they officially refuse an offer) the rest is paper talk and alleged ITK's.
